In 2021, there was a vast increase in cloud-driven productions, but what does that mean for 2022?
In a Vizrt webinar, Alessandro Reitano, Senior Vice President at Sky Sport DE, talks about why technology nowadays should be decentralised so that production opportunities for broadcasters become more scalable.
Interestingly, SKY Sports Germany chose a handball game for their most recent tests. A production that requires very fast-paced, low-latency operations, extra content for fan engagement through innovative angles, and the need to remain cost-efficient.
🗝 Software-based operations fit the bill because they are scalable, simple and don't require much training while ensuring consistent workflows.
A second takeaway is that audio production in the cloud is notoriously difficult.
Enters On-Hertz! We are happy to report that our NDI implementation in Artisto makes it a breeze to integrate full-fledged broadcast audio mixing into cloud operations. 🙌
