This morning we woke up to the news that one of our greatest inspirations had died. George A. Romero is no more…
Romero died Sunday in his sleep after a “brief but aggressive battle with lung cancer” according to a family statement.
He was 77 years old.
This man was, in a way directly, responsible for one of our songs… His movie “Night of the Living Dead” inspired us to write the song “Barbara” somewhat 10 years ago.
Therefor we would like to do something in return… We would like to digitally release the “Barbara EP” this Halloween in honor of George A. Romero. All proceeds of this EP will go to
“Stichting Tegen kanker” (a Belgian organisation dedicated to cancer research - http://www.kanker.be).
We would like to make this release something special, something unique even… and that’s where you guys come in! Because this would be a digital release we won’t be bound by a certain amount of track of a certain amount of minutes of playtime… So, we would like to bundle as many different versions of “Barbara” as possible. And by different versions we mean covers, remixes, playthroughs, re-imaginings, acoustic versions, dance versions, or whatever version your minds can think of… The point is to get as many different versions of the song as possible.

The deadline is October 9th 2017. Prefered filetype for delivery is 16bit 44100Hz, but higher bit- and/or samplerate is of course allowed.
We really think we could do something special here, in the name of charity… and as a tribute to one of the greats in movie history, Mr. George A. Romero.
