What to post for Halloween? 🎃

Post a spooky discount, your decorations, post your favorite Halloween-themed product, do the pumpkin/ghost photo challenge, post outfit inspiration, your favorite Halloween inspired dish, ...

For every brand there is something to post regarding Halloween or almost any other holiday. You can almost always link the holiday to your business so just to prepare your content in advance and post on the day of. Just make sure your content is on-brand and not totally random. Connect it to your brand/products and you'll be fine!

Content Vaults, why are they important?

Because sometimes you really don't have the time nor the energy to show up on camera. A content vault is the perfect way to prep all of your content in advance and gives you some pieces of content to choose from every month, when you are planning out your content.

It's very important that you mix up your content and still show up most times, but with these pieces of content, you make sure you don't burn yourself out in the process.

✨ CLIENT WORK ✨

Last month had a week of festivities for their one year business anniversary and of course, I went there to make content! ☀️

I made a Reel each day, took lots of photos and made sure her stories listed the week's tasting calendar every day.
We also hosted a giveaway on her socials and had amazing responses from her customers throughout the week.

Me being there the entire week, made sure every aspect of the tastings was captured and Sofie could focus on giving her clients the best experience possible. ❤️

Need an example? ⬇️

Imagine you own a hotel in the Dolomites, Italy. Your clients are mostly skiers or hikers. People that love sports and nature. 🌳

One thing they might search for online:
"What are beautiful hiking trails in the Dolomites?"

As your hotel is located in the Dolomites, you probably know the best hiking trails in the area. Instead of just showing your beautiful hotel, your rooms, your breakfast, ... on your socials, you could do different posts on the prettiest hiking trails in your area. 🚶‍♂️

For this question you can give an answer in a blogpost, through an infographic, a video or with a photo of the top of a mountain.

Instead of picking one option, try to use all of the above and implement that same answer in all of these formats.

Now save these formats and post a different format every few weeks. ☀️

❗️ People forget that you posted it weeks ago or missed your post because they didn't open their socials that day. So it's important to post the same answers again, and to mix it up, you used the different formats.

With this technique you can re-use your core content over and over again, using different words and different formats. You will have way more content to use and less stress to come up with new ideas every time.

Make sure to save this post to re-read when you are ready to create content ✨️

I wouldn't recommend only using faceless videos, but I understand that sometimes it can be really exhausting to show your face everywhere. That's why I give you 3 faceless (or at least without your face) ideas that you can use to supplement your video content.

Improving your audio, yes or no? ✨

The short answer is yes, it does matter.
But I will say I am a bit biased as I learned a lot about audio during my film studies and I do have some audio loving friends that might kill me if I say no 😉

That being said, I do think you can improve your audio enough with small and cheap upgrades, if your videos are only used on your socials. 📱

Setting up your phone in a quiet space, staying close to your phone mic when talking and even a small microphone can go a long way.
But if you want to make podcasts, long YouTube videos or talk on camera during busy events, good audio gear is a must. 🎥

It will enhance your videos a lot and will instantly make them feel more professional. If you recorded in a busy area and your sound is sh*tty, you can try to improve it all you want with audio editing or even ai, but you’ll probably not be able to fix it.

Just always make sure you think about audio just as much as you think about visuals before shooting a video. Your audience will respond so much better. ☀️

But if you do happen to have bad audio for an amazing video, do know that adding text, a trending audio or subtitles might help you out a bit. Just keep in mind that for your next videos, you check audio too 😉

Almost every entrepreneur I work with, doesn't know what topics they should share. They have a few go-to's but don't know what to talk about in their posts when they have to post daily. 📲

Coming up with content ideas usually isn't that hard once you understand what your clients want to know. ✨

Start with your frequently asked questions and answer them one by one. You can answer those same questions in a story, in a caption with static post, in an infographic swipe-post and in a video. Now you have different types of content to share during the following weeks.

Think about the small things too. ☀️
If you offer a service: what's the first thing people should start with in their journey?
What are the following steps?

If you have a product: why is this product helpful? How does it enhance people's lives?

❗️Think smaller, not bigger and start with all the things your clients already ask you.

Content creation is a word that's used for all kinds of things.
Nowadays, being a 'content creator' it is mostly a replacement for being an 'influencer'. 🤳

But most of all it means creating content, not just for fun but as a job, or with the goal of it being your full time job one day.📲

For Platinacontent and for myself, content creation means creating video-focused content for growing brands that they can use on their socials media platforms, whether it be of their team, products or services, or it is about their products or services.

💜 I fell in love with content creation during my film studies. I always had a love for storytelling & writing and decided that a technical degree in film-tv-video would sooth me best. I wanted to combine my interest in photography with telling stories, and film was the perfect solution for that.

During my student years, I quickly learned that even tho I learned how to make interesting videos with professional camera and audio gear, I didn't quite like the technical side of it. 🙃
Luckily, I had a lot of technical friends who gladly gave me creative control over their projects, and I quickly moved into the director-writer or reporter roll. ☀️

I still love creating stories in film and this roll still suits me best, but overtime I started missing creating videos myself. I started experimenting with my own social media and got a job in social media management/content creation. Eventually, I learned that I loved creating videos with my phone & that a lot of people struggle with creating videos for their small businesses. ✨

I took a leap of faith and founded my own company as a student, making content for small businesses. After graduating, I went freelance for a year, and now I'm officially back to being a business owner. I get to alternate between the film industry and this, which is the combination perfect for me.

Gentle reminder: don't always dodge that camera or stand behind it. People want to connect with people most of all and that's why, as a business owner, it is important to show your face. ✨

Make sure you have at least a few good photos of yourself on your profile because people love to see the business owner. If you are shy, a few props in hand or on your head can go a long way to make you feel more confident. ☀️

And if you are still determined to not get your photos taken, pick someone else as the face of your brand. This can be a creator, one of your employees or one of your family members; Make sure tho, that the person is relevant to the brand and that their personality aligns with your business offer. Don't put a vegan in the spotlight all the time if you have a meat-based restaurant and don't choose someone that doesn't like animals so much, as the face of your dog toy brand.

It is all about balance and storytelling. Make sure your mission (or theirs) is talked about often and don't forget to smile for that photo. We love to see you shine 💜

Opinot b&b opened its doors in March and their beautiful bed & breakfast is the perfect place to relax, read a book or explore the wonderful hiking trails nearby. 🏡

Their wooden interior has been amazing to photograph and I have endless possibilities to make video content for them. It has been a lot of fun to film their lovely breakfasts, nearby activities and the beautiful rooms in their accommodation.
My content is a great addition to their own content, and their social media pages show a good mix. This way, they can still post whatever they want but have a vault of finished pieces of content for the less creative days. ✨

Camera shy? Let me tell you a story! ✨

Throughout the years I have done a lot of photo and video shoots standing behind the camera myself. I know all the tricks to make someone feel comfortable, and still I used to have a hard time standing in front of the camera myself.

During my film studies, I wasn't really confident in my technical skills so whenever we used to do a little group project, I would always be the actress or reporter. We always watched our assignments in group to get feedback and I always cringed seeing myself on screen. I hated the way my voice sounded, my face moved and every move I made.

It was horrible seeing myself over and over again, but over time I kind of got used to my expressions. I focused less on my insecurities and more on storytelling, camera shots and movement.

Now, years later I discovered that I do like making videos (especially on a phone/small camera) but that I focus more on the story while shooting.
However, all of these years of seeing myself on screen over and over again has shown me that camera shyness will fade with experience and training. You have to see yourself 100 times before you get over it, but practice makes perfect.
And after a while, you will just be you, whether there's a camera or not.

I will say tho that I'm still a bit shy when it comes to photoshoots. But the easiest way to overcome that is with the right photographer. A pro will make you feel good in no time.
Photographers are trained to make you feel relaxed and confident when shooting and it's their job to make you look good.

So my best tips are:
- it's okay to be a little shy. Surround yourself with people you trust and you'll feel 10x better in not time.
- yes, you have to film yourself again, even when you cringe. You will get used to it. It just takes time.
- hire a photographer with a lot of experience and tell them beforehand that you feel a little stressed about being in front of the camera. They will help you feel relaxed, so you can be the best version of yourself for your photos.

Choosing a color palette, does it still matter for your branding? 🧐

These days your visual identity is the most important thing online. Your photos, videos and graphics all have to be in line with your story and brand. But does that color palette still matter these days? 🙃

Colors are an ancient old tool to quickly classify something in the right category and determine whether it's safe or not. Or in today's society, if it fits your style and vibe. That's why a color palette can still improve your visual identity, even when you don't use graphics. The colors can be implemented in your interior, your clothes, accessories, grading, products, ... You can get very creative in your videos and photos, and implementing colors in the same way over and over again can help with brand recognition. ☀️

But colors aren't the only things you can use for that. You can choose to always film yourself in front of a certain background, always have a little microphone in hand, always wear the same outfit, ... Continuity is key for brand recognition and this can portray itself in a lot of different ways. ✨

So yes, a color palette still really matters and still can help boost your brand a lot. But continuity in everything is key and as long as you always align your visuals with your core brand values, your brand will be easily recognizable and the right audience will find you. ❤️

Reminder! Don't forget to film little pieces while you are working. ☀️

Entrepreneurs often forget the social media part of their business because it's the last thing on their list. It's a lot of work, you often don't know what to post and it becomes a burden. 🙁

Being active on social media is all about 'training' yourself and picking up a habit. Just once a day, when you pack up a bikini, prepared a dish or finished cleaning a room, take a 3-5 second video. All of these little bits of b-roll/videos could make a useful vault of content for whenever you don't feel inspired or when you need it to participate in a trend. You can just edit all the videos into one, or choose one video to use as a background for a little text message. ✨

Social media is about those small moments in a day, the behind the scenes. Your clients want to see the things they don't normally see. And new clients want to see the experience or product they are about to receive when they order at your shop.

So don't forget to film today. Even when it's a 5-second video. It will go a long way. ❤️

Threads? Another app? 🙃

Threads is the new "Twitter-like" app from Instagram. You can post thoughts, photos and interact with others, just like on Twitter.
But with Threads, it's connected to your Instagram account with, so you can easily find your mutuals. And even your bio and follower-count will be displayed. 🌎🤳

On TikTok there is a lot of speculation about whether this will replace Twitter completely or if Threads will even be used at all. So far it is only available in a few countries and as for now, Belgium isn't one of them. But once it's finally available here, I will be testing it out as a business but also on my personal account. This to see what the app is all about and if it's worth it for my clients to take on yet another app. 📲

Let's get to know me a little bit better with these 3 little facts.

1. I am a real 'foodie'. My appetite sets my mood and my food can make me either overly happy or the exact opposite 🙃

2. I am lactose-intolerant but like many others, I am very much obsessed with cheese and always complain about the many delicious dishes out there with a lot of dairy in them. I am glad tho that there are more and more substitutes, but with a forgetful mind like mine, sometimes it's just too late and an evening with cramps is unavoidable 🧀

3. My official name is Tineke, but Tina has been my nickname since I was 15. Since I've always had crossing friend groups, the nickname stuck around and like 80% of the people in my life, call me Tina now. I really like the name, and it really helps when travelling since it's a lot easier to pronounce. 🌎

And 4: it's because of my love for travel and food that I chose to be in this business. I love capturing all the pretty views and tasty dishes that I come across, and combining this with my marketing and social media knowledge has been absolutely amazing. ☀️

Schanul Schoten has been my favorite greens and veggie store ever since she opened up again in September. But I must say that I'm kind of biased, since Sofie and I have been best friends for years now. 😉

It has been amazing to be able to work together for months and to support each other in this entrepreneurial journey. Right now, as a business it is almost unimaginable to not be posting on your socials. You have to be active and show up every week or even every day and I totally understand how exhausting that can be.

So what is the right content for your business? It's about value. It can be inspirational, educational, entertaining, ... But above all, your ideal client must be able to connect with it. Cause in the end, the real goal is to build community and convert sales. So make sure to think about those ways to bring value the next time you post.

UGC content? What is that about? 📷

If you have been scrolling through TikTok lately, you might have seen a lot of UGC creators and their content on your "For You Page". 🎥
UGC is hot and trendy at the moment and stands for User Generated Content.
UGC is basically content that's made about your brand, like a review or manual about your product/service, directly from your users (or made by a specific UGC creator). And is used to build trust with your ideal clients. ✨

Say for example you have a sunscreen brand and instead of using high quality studio photos by a photographer, you send your product to a UGC creator. They then make a 'how to-video', give a review about the product or use it in action while talking about something entirely different. Those videos will give your consumers a better trust in your brand, because they have seen it in action, heard positive things about it and can resonate with the creator.

What's the difference with influencer marketing? 👙
With influencer marketing the content will be posted on their account, for their followers to see and for it to work they must have a good, loyal following, that believes in what they recommend.

With UGC, the following doesn't matter because the content will be posted on the brand's account. It doesn't have to be someone famous either because these videos/photos want to showcase that the product is used on a daily basis by all kinds of people.

But it is important to look for a good fit with your brand. Pick a person that looks, talks and films/edits like your ideal client. The more they fit your brand, the more your ideal client will feel connection and trust.

To be fair, content creation isn't that new to me, as I've been helping brands for over three years now. But I do think it is important to show them what the possibilities are and that these brands aren't alone in this journey.

I will however combine content creation with working in film, as I do like working in both these industries. My film work will still be shown on my account and will go hand in hand with this side of my business.

As my friends, family and even my clients know: I just love to do creative work. And by not forcing myself into one box, I give myself space to do it all. Content creation and working in film both focus mainly on video anyway and I think it is amazing to take my knowledge and skills from both jobs, and combine them in my day-to-day work.

So get ready for this new era and learn more about all of it in the next couple of days. I look forward to sharing a little bit more with you every day. ✨

My name is Tina, I am a social butterfly, always looking for new cute lunch spots and I would always spend my money on experiences over things.
I am outgoing and love to dance, but above all I love to have deep, meaningful conversations with my friends over a good plate of pasta.

I have been interested in photography ever since I was 14 and discovered the wonderful world of endless YouTube tutorials. On my 16th birthday, my parents got me my first camera, which I still love using to this day. And ever since I was little, I loved writing. I always wrote poems, stories, songs, … and had journals filled with random thoughts. Not that anybody could read them because I was way to shy to show them to anyone. When I had to choose a higher education, I couldn’t image myself in anything other than something creative. I wanted an outlet, but something that would be realistic as well. I wanted to combine the images with the writing and went to filmschool. That’s where I fell in love with film, videos and storytelling as a whole. But that’s also where my interest in marketing and social media sparked. Now 5 years later, there is nothing I love to do more than combine of all these arts and call it my job.
