I have read a lot about cold therapy and I have envied those brave enough to spend time in pools filled with ice. I have been also wondering about the science behind it and I was not really convinced that it would be something I would be able to do safely. This Mayo Clinic article looks at the issue and brings some useful insight. What is true, is that we do not know enough about most of the practices that are said to be health boosters, immunity boosters - am I the only one who feels we are gaslighted about it - in both senses?

Cold-water enthusiasts rave about the benefits of ice baths, claiming that frigid showers, baths and swims can speed recovery, numb pain, prevent colds and lift mood. So, is it time to take the plunge? The answer likely depends on your current state of health, along with your goals.

Parenting not-so-neurotypical children is far from being a piece of cake - this article explains how parents of children with ADHD reconsider the 10 sacred myths of parenting from β€žTV will rot their brains” (spoiler alert - it doesn't) to β€žthey need a bath every evening” passing through my favourite one β€žthey need to pick up their toys every [single] night”.

Refreshing to read, I would say - liberating, making space for what really counts.

"TV will rot her brain!" "You let him eat french fries?!?" "Raising kids is a piece of cake, right?" Parenting myths are everywhere, and they're insidious for parents raising kids with ADHD, who often feel judged for their kids' behavior already. Let go of these harmful untruths that ignore your chi...
