Diplomatic World is an international luxury business magazine located in Brussels, the Heart of Europe. It benefits from a quarterly bilingual publication (French & English) of 20 000 copies. Our main strength is our exceptional readership: Head of States, Ambassadors to Belgium, to the European Commi

ssion and NATO, CEOs and multinational companies, Ministers and officials for the European Commission and the European Parliament. Diplomatic World is also involved in a large number of prestigious events: the European Business Summit, European Cooperation for Security (ECSA), the International Diplomatic and Consular Circle (CIDIC), etc. The magazine is structured in a series of articles which fall naturally into one of two sections:

- The first section offers our readers an objective view of current news and international relations through articles that have been written in collaboration with people with first-hand knowledge and academic experts; there are interviews with government figures, and meeting points with top-level decision makers from business.

- The second section of the magazine is devoted to art, culture, elegant living, voyages of discovery, gastronomy and leisure. Thus, turning the pages, the reader learns about the latest collections of couture clothes and jewellery, or the subtleties of taste and bouquet of some superb vintage wines; here is a small corner of Paradise to which the reader can escape and settle down for a good read. Finally, we transport the reader to selected museums or to discover the character and comfort of a luxury car, or exceptionally beautiful places, or dream voyages.

In honour of the 17th Inter-parliamentary meeting between Mongolia and the European Union, we had the pleasure to attend the networking reception held at the Embassy of Mongolia and meet the Mongolian delegation led by Mr Temuulen Ganzorig, Chair of the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy of the Mongolian Parliament.

It is good to see the Mongolia-EU partnership evolving through regular and high-level dialogues building on the long-established friendship and cooperation 🇲🇳🤝🇪🇺

This week the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica 🇨🇷, H.E. Dr. Arnoldo André Tinoco, is paying a working visit to Brussels.

We are grateful that the Minister made time in his busy agenda to meet with us and share Costa Rica’s policies and positions on a wide range of topics: relations with the European Union; his country’s unique approach to issues of biodiversity, environmental protection and sustainability (including co-hosting with France the UN Ocean Conference in June), and the need to reform the international financial architecture to be more responsive to present-day needs and challenges.

Delighted to attend the very timely Regional Water Forum 💧 organised by the Drought Prevention Institute of the Organisation of Turkic States and the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency.

With water scarcity a common and growing challenge across the world, this conversation brought together key stakeholders to discuss sustainable solutions; investment opportunities; regional cooperation and cutting-edge technologies that address the pressing issue of water management.

Thank you to Ambassador Tamás Iván Kovács and the House of Hungary for hosting this crucial discussion.

Wonderful gathering in the residence of the Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Belgium, H.E. Masahiro Mikami, to celebrate the birthday of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito, and celebrate the long-standing ties and friendship between the Japanese Imperial Family and the Belgian Royal Family.

It was good to see again Mr Pieter De Crem, former Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, who will lead Belgium’s participation in the Expo 2025 in Osaka in April.

🇩🇯 Had the pleasure to be received by the Ambassador of Djibouti to the EU, Benelux and Scandinavia, H.E. Aden Mohamed Dileita.

It was fascinating to learn about this country located at the southern entrance to the Read Sea and therefore at the intersection of major international shipping lines connecting Asia, Africa and Europe; and acting as the main maritime gateway for the landlocked countries of the region.

Djibouti has been working to enhance its position as a regional logistics and commercial hub and soon you will be able to read about it in the pages of Diplomatic World.
