[NEW SINGLE]

For over a decade, Compro Oro has been travelling the world in sound. Rooted in jazz and psychedelia, the Ghent-based collective blends these foundations with global influences from every corner of the map.

Over the past year, the band developed a new project inspired by Kinshasa - quite literally. For this release, Compro Oro collaborated with Congolese likembé player, vocalist and dancer Bouton Kalanda.

Their first EP together, 𝘓𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘢, will be released on January 30. The single 𝘒𝘶𝘬𝘪𝘦𝘥𝘪 offers an early taste of what’s to come.

A forgotten chapter from the 𝘈𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘶𝘦 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘴 soundtrack sessions. 𝘈𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘶𝘦 𝘖𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 gathers unreleased gems and fresh instrumental versions from KID.’s sonic universe for Terry Beks & Kim Vreys’ arthouse film.
Expect intimate sketches that never made the final cut but carry the same analogue-meets-digital spirit.
Terry Beks’ search for the perfect fusion of tactile analogue and limitless digital continues here, closing with a rework of the theme song by Toon Janssens (Forbidden Fruit).

These are not leftovers - just the raw, shifting residue of a cinematic world still in motion.

[NEW SINGLE]
Ragini Trio has returned to our sound universe with this new single of the upcoming album 𝟯!
𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘴 is the name of an emblematic pentatonic Indian raga, one of the most melancholic ones. This track has a very light and hypnotising drum groove, an oriental saxophone with subtle electronic effects and a double bass with a bow playing some very intricate ornamentations. It can’t be jazz without real solos but it can’t be Indian raga either because of the wrong instruments and the many broken rules.
If you do need to put it into a specific box, then take the ragini box.

[NEW AND LOVING IT]
Following 𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘺, released in 2024, this second volume shows Don Kapot at their most liberated, with completely improvised structures that build as the album progresses.

“Antistrofos Illigos” means “Reverse Vertigo” and this album exudes a certain aesthetic radicalism that won't appeal to everyone. But it might be more necessary today than ever before, as the very idea of freedom is under threat.

The trio leaves no room for self-reflection, resulting in something raw and instinctive. They demonstrate their ability to instantly generate a clear narrative and give their all to the ensemble, in a single gesture.
