It’s your time to shine, so let’s do this together!

5th Academy Night yesterday. Really interesting talk by @asterbreekweg of @gewoon.club on AI and Video. A lot of opportunities and normally no job killer. But it will be a change. Let’s start to learn how to prompt!
Great networking after the talks. Thanks for organizing @maartengoedeme and @promotimecreations.

Aftermovie and press images shot by @magmastudio.be.
Project from two weeks ago. With a small cameo. Always weird to see yourself on camera. And especially if you have to edit it yourself as well.
Want to become better on camera? Contact me via dm and let’s talk.
What did you do last weekend? We were part of a vocal training for actors by @echocoaching_ and @cast.castingstudio.
Interested? Let us know.

About last night.
My first business dates by VOKA. This great concept allowed me to connect with a lot of other startups. Plus we had the chance to talk to three experts in their field about hiring your first employee, sales and marketing. You know it was a good night if you leave with a head full of ideas and 20 extra LinkedIn contacts.

New work for @vlaamse.hockey.liga. Aftermovie of last Saturday when all the youth matches from @herakleshockey were whistled by women. A powerful signal to empower girls and women to take on an active role as referees.
The shoot was really wet, non-stop rain. But during the SA me day edit, we managed to stay dry and try to make the images as colorful as possible. So everything was ready to post on Sunday.
Camera and edit: @magmastudio.be.
With support of @sportvlaanderen.
Sharing knowledge is the most fundamental act of friendship!
Fragment of video we made for @portofduqm and @portofantwerpbruges. The key note speaker is @hippophilip.
Some heroes operate in the shadows. :-) Let’s put them in the spot light.
@FARO. Vlaams steunpunt voor cultureel erfgoed is a non-profit support organisation for the cultural heritage sector in Flanders. They do amazing things like this… reading together with adults from around the world so they can learn Dutch much faster.
They are also part of the organisation of @erfgoeddag . So check their website, social channels,… They deserve your attention because they help us protect our past.
Thanks Elien Doesselaere for the assignment. We had so much fun shooting, editing this video. Delivered in 2 different formats 16:9 and 9:16. Short and long version.
In cooperation with Ligo Centra voor Basiseducatie. We interviewed Sarah Manhaeve and @hugoverhenne.
Did you know video testimonials are incredibly powerful? Here are three reasons why.
Inspiring Stories: Journey into the lives of remarkable female referees, coaches, and managers in field hockey. For example my niece @maitemichielsen in this video. In our series of 18 videos, Maité has a personal story to tell and people can relate to it, more than when written down.
Make More Impact: Video testimonials are a dynamic medium to amplify the impact of their words. Maité’s journey as a referee becomes all the more powerful on screen, driving home her passion and dedication.
Shareable Content: Video testimonials are not only compelling but also highly shareable. Maité’s story and those of other inspiring women in field hockey can easily be shared to inspire a broader audience.
Join us in watching these captivating stories unfold, including Maité’s incredible journey in the world of field hockey. 🏑💪 #WomenInHockey #VideoTestimonials #InspiringLeaders @braxgatahockeyclub @vlaamse.hockey.liga @sportvlaanderen @hockey_be

Next week will be really busy. So let’s enjoy this weekend. What are your plans?
My son always wants to go to the playground on Friday. It’s a moment that helps me reflect and have some quality time with him.
Next week shoots for @visitoostende and @adeccogroup. 6 days away from home. It hits different when you have a family. But it’s also one of the things I love so much about video production: you get to go to places where other people might never come.
These three ways will help you make better aftermovies:
Certainly! Here are three real-world tips to enhance your aftermovies:
1. Capture Candid Moments: Seek out and capture candid moments that showcase genuine emotions, interactions, and reactions. These authentic moments can bring a sense of realism and connection to your aftermovie, allowing viewers to relive the experience and feel a part of it. Look for spontaneous laughter, heartfelt conversations, or unexpected surprises that make the event memorable.
2. Utilize Dynamic Camera Movements: Incorporate dynamic camera movements to add visual interest and energy to your aftermovie. Experiment with techniques such as handheld shots, using a gimbal or drone if appropriate. Smooth camera movements can create a sense of immersion and excitement, enhancing the overall production value of your aftermovie.
Tell a Compelling Story: Consider the purpose of your aftermovie and what message or feeling you want to convey. Identify key moments or themes that define the event and use them as storytelling anchors. Incorporate interviews, testimonials, or voiceovers to provide context and personal insights that engage viewers on an emotional level.
Hope that helps!
