All the best to all my friends, family and followers for the support again this year. It was really tough to keep it up and things had to change career-wise. So taking some new steps work-wise and will have less time to do my art but will always be open for commission work of course, no worries. I will start some new projects as well. things I always wanted to do but always put aside because I had to chase the social media magic dragon that never worked. I am absolutey fed up with all the algorithms and paying for stuff that in the end do not help at all. So now I will stop ads and stop putting time in endless self-promoting reels that take ages to make every week. I don't feel broken or frustrated, I'm just fed up with battles I just can not win because I make what I love and not what is hyped. I don't tape banana's to a wall or use a trampoline to paint a huge canvas or make buckets full of sand fall surrounded by idiots pretending that is art and pay a filthy amount of money for it. ( Don't get me wrong it's not the creator that is at blame here but the system. If anyone wants to pay me 10K for a canvas with my crushed ice-tea can glued on it with my dog's morning sh*t, I will of course. Feel free to order up).
So from now on I will make more time for your art projects and stop making print after print in the hope they sell. It's time I make what I want to make and find the fun in art again.
Good part is one of those projects is my 3th Ragracers album.
I have been making lot's of stuff in the past months but didn't feel like posting them all up, making reels, recording work etc... I will bring you all up to speed on that later on.
It's time to get up in the morning without that choking feeling of "when is it going to get better". It's not and will not. I tried everything and have to face reality and find peace in it. I failed at putting the brakes on once and I don't want to and never will go back to that period spend in hell. other things are way more important like family and friends.
So in a nutshell: Keep your commissions coming, I will make them with all the usual passion and care. But in the future if you see none-motorcycling things on this page, well... i just felt like making it. Bikes will always be my number one passion, no worries.
Thank you all and I wish all the best for you and all your loved ones.
And let's give a little thought to all the people that are not warm at home and having a good time.
Phil
