পৃথিবীর প্রকৃতি প্রত্যয়ে
নির্জন তুষারপাতের মতো।

নক্ষত্রের বৈরী প্রহরগুলো
মানুষের সহসা সহসাই
ব্যাকুল বৃষ্টির ঋজুরেখা কি?

তবু মানুষ পেরোয় এখানে
কখনো শুদ্ধ কখনো অশুদ্ধ পরাবৃত্তে,
মানুষেরা প্রিয় রমণীর অতলবক্ষে
কেন বদলায় একাধিক অগস্ত্য-যাত্রায়!
