Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the passing of Mrs. Alsion Roach Wilson, O.D., Jamaica’s 11th Consul General to New York and Chair of the CARICOM Consular Corps. 🕊️

A true daughter of the soil, she dedicated her life to service, unity, and uplifting our people. From empowering students in Jamaica with technology and opportunity, to strengthening the bridge between New York and the Caribbean, her work was rooted in love, dignity, and community care. 🤝🌍

Her leadership, her generosity, her unstoppable commitment to her culture and her people — these will continue to shine and inspire for generations to come. ✨

In light of the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, I’m honoured to be partnering with Faizal Khan, the Founding Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce Guyana 🇬🇾(BritCham Guyana) to raise funds and awareness for the hurricane relief efforts in Jamaica.

This special initiative will take place during the BritCham Guyana Business Forum & Networking Event at Chelsea Football Club, Stamford Bridge, on Thursday, 6th November 2025 at 2:30PM.🏟️

My heart is truly heavy, and I’m deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my brother, DJ Barry G — The Boogieman, one of Jamaica’s true radio legends. 🎙️🇯🇲
A pioneer who brought a voice that carried the heartbeat of the island and the soul of our people to the world. 🌍🙏🏾❤️💛💚🙏🏾

Barry, your distinctive, unmistakable voice was one of a kind — a sound so rich and powerful that it became the pattern and standard for so many who came after you.
Through your words, your joyful energy, and your spirit, you brought love, wisdom, and strength to generations. ❤️✨
You connected people through music — the language of love and unity. You will truly be missed, but your legacy will live on forever. 🙏🏾

I’ll never forget that iconic clash with David Rodigan in New York — when David asked me to do the song “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra as a dubplate —
“Start spreading the news… Rodigan’s in Brooklyn!” 🔥🎶🔥
Moments like that showed the magic you brought to the culture — pure inspiration to all of us around the world. 🌎💫
