Syed Galib Azim(সৈয়দ গালিব আজিম) is a BANGLADESHI Rock music singer,a poet and a reciter. In Jnr.high, he started writing his own poetry. And his uncle used to teach him about the progressive recitation of Bengali Poetry, but those were more likely non prof
essional way. In 2002/03, He and his friend Biddut Rahman started practicing Bangladeshi Rock Music.Then Another friend Mishu Khan joined in and they started forming a rock band. Later on, the Band titled SHOHORTOLI(the suburb)
In 2007 Galib Azim along his Band Shohortoli released their first single titled 'Asader Khola Chithi' where Galib's first introduced the concept of 'THEATRICAL ROCK' or 'POETRY ROCK' in the Bangladeshi band music scenario. Back in 2010, Shohortoli released their debut solo album -"Borabor Shohortoli" which were massively accepted by the audience and critic. In that Album, Galib Azim First experimented the NAZIM HIKMET(Turkish Poet)'s 'Jail Khanar Chithi(Letter to my wife), And few Other Bangladeshi Poet Shamsur Rahman and Rudra Mohammad Shohiddulah's poetry!And that contribution of musical treatment brings him the title"Father of Theatrical Rock" by his fans.

In the June25,2012; Galib Azim and Biddut Rahman resigned from the band Shohortoli due to some unavoidable reasons and again,together formed a new band THEATRICAL(facebook.com/theatricalband). In April12,2013; band THEATRICAL released their debut album,'Onibarjo Karon Boshoto' (Due to Unavoidable Circumstances) , there, the treatment to the Rock were bit Different. this time,Galib Azim's choices were Kazi Nazrul Islam, Joy Goswami,Saykat Kundu's poetry in the context of rock; in differrent manner. In so far of his musical Career, Galib Azim wrote,talked and sung about , social crisis, border issues,demoralized social attributes,identity crisis,humanity,politics,love, HIV awareness, Human trafficking etc. Apart homeland Bangladesh,Galib Azim has performed numerous shows and concerts and music conferences across the globe like United States of America,India etc. and thereby,he believes the Queen words-'Show must Go On...'
