Because I am blind, everyone always advises my husband to remarry. So last night before going to bed, I told my husband; "when everyone asks you to remarry, find a beautiful girl and get married." I could not hold back my tears while saying this to him. He kicked me out of the bed after hearing this. And said; 'never say that again'!
You know brother; his 'kick' didn't feel a kick but his love for me.

I don’t know what good thing I have ever done, God gave me my husband as a gift in my life. My husband fulfills all those responsibilities for me that I was supposed to do for my husband as a wife.

From cooking, cleaning, washing my clothes, making bed, even every night he hangs the mosquito net before going to bed. You might not believe that when we eat together he even helps me in picking the fish thorns so I can eat the fish.

After 10 years of our marriage, I became blind. I have been blind for the last 8 years. We were four sisters and two brothers. After a certain age, everyone became blind. The doctor said it was a hereditary disease. My four siblings have died after being blind. I too might have died of negligence and starvation like them but I am still alive just because of my husband.

A few days ago, his elder brother came and said in front of me that, "if you get married again, you will get a dowry of one lakh taka and with that money you can buy your own rickshaw."

My heart was pounding when I heard this. I was waiting to hear my husband's reply. My husband replied as soon as possible that, "I would die without eating, but I will not live without my wife as long as I live. "Hearing his answer, I could no longer hold myself. I just sat on the ground and cried my heart out.

I really want to cook and feed my husband and children well. But I can't cook anymore. My husband has to eat whatever my 12-year-old daughter cooks for us. My six-year-old son has been wanting to eat a watermelon for a few days now but how can I feed him a watermelon? If my husband goes to work one day, he can't go to work another day leaving me.

He is a rickshaw puller. He drives a rented rickshaw in Dhaka City. For that he needs to go to Dhaka in the morning and return at night. The day he went to Dhaka, I had a hard time doing all the work alone. So he can't go to work everyday, leaving me alone. He can't always work so he can't earn enough. There is no end to our sorrow and miseries. But at least if we had a rickshaw of our own, he could drive the rickshaw in our area everyday and also could help me from time to time.

My husband loves me very much. I am blind but I am blessed because of him. I don't know if there is anyone else in the world who has such a husband like him. He is an angel to me. A wife never wants to give her Man a certificate of a good human being unless he is a really good one.
