6 Delicious & Nutritious Ways to Wrap, Follow for more

Wraps can be a great way to pack in nutrients from whole foods while enjoying a tasty and filling meal. Plus, they can be customized to fit your preferences! One important thing to note when choosing your tortilla is that many traditional tortillas have little-to-no nutrients intact due to the way the grain is processed and bleached. A better choice would be something like the Ezekiel sprouted tortilla or almond flour tortilla like Siete’s or even whole wheat wrap that has more beneficial nutrients intact and is minimally processed.⁠

Here are the details on each wrap:⁠

What you need for the Southwest:⁠
Tortilla⁠
Seasoned steak⁠
Mashed avocado ⁠
¼ cup corn ⁠
¼ cup black beans ⁠
¼ cup shredded cheese ⁠
Handful of cherry tomatoes ⁠

What you need for the Veggie Wrap:⁠
Tortilla ⁠
2-3 slices Beefsteak tomato ⁠
Arugula ⁠
¼ cup red onion⁠
5-6 cucumber slices ⁠
¼ cup shredded carrot ⁠
¼ cup hummus ⁠

What you need for the Italian Wrap:⁠
Tortilla ⁠
¼ cup pesto ⁠
3-4 pieces prosciutto ⁠
Artichoke hearts ⁠
Roasted red pepper ⁠
Basil ⁠
4-5 mozzarella balls ⁠

What you need for the Classic:⁠
Tortilla ⁠
Organic turkey slices ⁠
Gouda ⁠
¼ cup avocado ⁠
¼ cup white onion⁠
2-3 slices beefsteak tomato ⁠
Butter lettuce⁠
Sauce like mustard⁠

What you need for the Thai Peanut:⁠
Tortilla ⁠
Seasoned chicken ⁠
¼ cup purple cabbage ⁠
¼ cup shredded carrot ⁠
¼ cup peanuts ⁠
Red bell pepper ⁠
Spinach⁠
Cilantro to taste ⁠
Sauce like coconut aminos⁠

What you need for the Breakfast Wrap:⁠
Tortilla ⁠
2 eggs ⁠
Cherry tomatoes ⁠
Spinach ⁠
Mushrooms⁠
¼ cup roasted sweet potato⁠
1 tbsp feta ⁠

What to do: ⁠
1- Prepare roasted sweet potato if making the breakfast wrap and saute the spinach, mushrooms & tomatoes if making the breakfast wrap. ⁠
2- If using hummus, pesto or mashed avocado, spread it on the tortilla. ⁠
3- Add the other ingredients to your heart’s desire. ⁠
4- Dig in! ⁠

Intact 5 simple ways. I often see people compare the protein intake of steak to broccoli and I really don’t understand why when the volume of broccoli needed to match a piece of steak or any other meat is so high. Sure broccoli does contain protein though and can help you hot your goal.

“I hate measuring food, can I not just guess?” Eyeballing serving sizes can work if you’re not really trying to lose or gain weight.�.⠀
If you DO want to drop some weight, measuring and actually knowing how much food is going in is pretty important.⠀

You’ll be surprised the amount of people that guess servings and are adamant they are in a deficit but noting losing weight.... well my friend you’re not in a deficit if you’re not dropping weight.⠀

Once you’re where you want to be, you can relax on the precision. Plus you’ll know more about what to look for and what mistakes to avoid. Small amounts add up and if you’re eating 500-1000 cals more than you thought in a week you’ll be confused why the progress isn’t there. Just a bigger banana every day could be 200 cals extra over a week!!⠀
Yes you can lose without tracking, but it’s a very effect tool that can make a huge difference.⠀

If no rules existed, if you didn’t worry about what others thought of your food choices, if you were truly free to eat whatever you wanted whenever you wanted🍓🍫. The answer might surprise you. But I understand this is a true fear, and rightfully so with how society has taught us to think about food and our bodies, demonizing certain foods like processed foods & sweets🍭 and glorifying a certain body type👙. Last week I was talking with a woman on a discovery call who said one fear about my program and the service I offer, is that she would want to eat everything with this newfound freedom with food🍕. She has a 10-year history dieting from weight watchers to keto🥩to juice cleanses and more. No wonder she fears what would happen if she ate whatever she wanted after spending a decade being told what to eat or what to not eat. ⠀

Many of the women in my program have had similar fears, & I know many of you feel the same way. I love watching my clients overcome this fear as they gain confidence with their food choices, eat in tune with their hunger and fullness, and enjoy fun foods like ice cream and cookies without feeling like they blew it or won’t be able to stop eating🙌. 🍌Banana. Potassium regulates sodium in the body and therefore may reduce water retention. A few foods high in potassium include banana, avocados, pistachios, spinach and kale

🥜Nuts and whole grains: Tasty sources of vitamin B6, a nutrient associated with PMS relief, whole grain products and nuts are a good nosh when you’re feeling bloated. Make sure they have no added salt.

Vegan Egg Replacements 🥚 🌱⁣

What's your favourite egg substitute in baking/cooking?⁣

These vegan replacements are great in mimicking the texture needed when making baked goods, pancakes and other recipes that require a regular egg 🥞 🥯⁣

How to use/make these:⁣
1. Aquafaba, aka chickpea brine (the liquid found in the can), can be saved when you buy canned chickpeas (3 tbsp = 1 egg)⁣
- Very low-calorie option⁣
- Minimal nutrition⁣

2. Apple sauce, you can buy canned or jarred or make your own by baking apples, removing their skin and then blending them (0.25 cup/ 60g = 1 egg)⁣
- Low-calorie option⁣
- Contains some fiber⁣

3. Banana, make sure it's ripe and then using a fork mash the banana (1 medium banana = 1 egg)⁣
- Great source of vitamin B6, potassium⁣
- An amazing energy booster⁣

4. Chia "egg", combine 1 tbsp of chia seeds with 3 tbsp of cold water and let it sit for 2-3 minutes so the chia does its magic (1 chia egg = 1 egg)⁣
- Omega 3 powerhouse⁣
- Very high in iron and calcium⁣

Are you eating meals with your partner?
I’ve been there. I eat more than my partner on many occasions. And I can tap into the wisdom I’ve gained from my Food Freedom Breakthrough framework. I know what WON’T satisfy my hunger so never compare my meals to others‼️
Tips:
➡️You have no idea what others have eaten thus far that day or how they like to eat 🍉. Maybe you love big meals and they snack consistently 🥜. Maybe they ate a lot of appetizers earlier 🍤 and aren’t as hungry now.
➡️ Just because they’re not eating carbs at this meal doesn’t mean you can’t. Or if they like less PB you can’t eat the amount you love.
➡️ Be mindful of what’s on your plate FIRST. Enjoy it and stop comparing. Your food is your choice, no one else’s.
This is your reminder that makes it seem like we, as women 🙆🏼‍♀️, need to eat less just because we are female. That we should eat less than our partners because that’s appropriate at all meals and lady like.
But it’s not. And you can eat exactly what your partner is eating (or even more 🙋🏼‍♀️) to satisfy you 🖤

Here are foods that you should stick with:

🍡1. Sweets. Higher sugar intake can suppresssnthe immune system and cause inflammation

🍔2. Fatty foods. Foods high in fat can be more difficult to digest and can trigger stomach pains

🥛3. Dairy. Many studies show that dairy is linked with increased mucus production which might worsen congestion when you’re sick

☕️4. Coffee. The caffeine is a diuretic, so it can make you p*e a lot and leave you dehydrated. Being dehydrated is a really bad thing especially when you’re sick.

🍬5. Crunchy snacks. The abrasive texture of snacks like chips, granola, or even crispy toast will feel like sandpaper on your raw throat

🍹6. Alcohol. Like coffee, is a diuretic that can worsen illness-related dehydration.
