ℹ️ মিরপুর বেড়ি বাঁধের রাস্তায় যারা নিয়মিত যাতায়াত করেন তারা অনেকেই লক্ষ্য করবেন রাস্তার দুই পাশে কিছু মাছ বিক্রেতা বসে থাকেন জিওল মাছ (শিং, মাগুর, কৈ) নিয়ে। বিরুলিয়া থেকে নবাবের বাগ পর্যন্ত প্রতি ১/১.৫ কি:মি: পরপরই একজন করে পাবেন যারা বালতি আর বড় সিলভারের ডালায় করে মাছ সাজিয়ে বসে থাকে। এদের জিজ্ঞাসা করলেই বলবে দেশী বিলের মাছ। এরা মাছগুলো ঠিকা বা আনুমানিক একটা দাম ধরে বিক্রি করে। এদের প্রত্যেকের কাছেই কৈ, শিং, মাগুর সব মিলিয়ে আনুমানিক ২/২.৫ কেজি করে মাছ থাকে, কাষ্টোমার বুঝে তারা এই মাছের দাম ৩ হাজার থেকে ৫ হাজার পর্যন্ত চেয়ে থাকে!
এই মাছগুলো আসলে মোটেও দেশী বিলের মাছ নয়। মাছগুলো রাজশাহী এবং নঁওগা এলাকার চাষের মাছ। এগুলোকে কৃত্তিম রং মিশিয়ে এরা ডালায় সাজিয়ে দেশী বলে বিক্রি করে। চাষের মাছ খাওয়া দোষের কিছু নয়, তবে এরা প্রতারণা করে সস্তা চাষের মাছকে দেশি মাছ বলে বেশি দামে বিক্রি করছে যেটা দোষের।
এছাড়াও এই একই রূটে এবং পূর্বাচল ৩০০ফিট রূটে দুপুরের পরে মিনি ট্রাকে করে একদল মাছওয়ালা পদ্মা এবং যমুনা নদীর মাছ বলে বার্মা থেকে আমদানীকৃত প্রিজারভেটিভ দেয়া বিশালাকারের ফ্রোজেন রুই, কাতলা, বোয়াল এবং বাঘাড় মাছ বিক্রি করে। এরাতো আরও বড় প্রতারক!
সুতরাং যারা এসব মাছ কিনে খান বা যাওয়া-আসার পথে দেখতে দেখতে কেনার পরিকল্পনা করেন তারা একটু দেখে শুনে, ভেবে-চিন্তে কিনবেন। ©
