The story of how we began
In a sudden morning of 2016, Raisa came up with the idea of a page for writers. Being a passionate writer herself, she thought it will be great to give a chance to other writers like her. She called another passionate reader named Mahjabeen whom she knew from Model UN conferences and loved her dearly. It all began from one passion and the love of fiction, especially writing. Their horizon broadened as they started to take in photographers and painters too. The page was called, Eucatastrophe (www.facebook.com/eucatastropheblog) The page had a stable rise and they didn’t mind.
Until, another fine morning in the campus of Bangladesh University of Professionals, Raisa and her group of girl friends thought of something different. “Why not an exhibition?” asked Mumtahina (now the Director of Online Operations for the agency). Raisa’s best friend, Tahrin (now the Director of Design for the agency) insisted on the live competition and that is how InnovEx BUP 2017 emerged. The overwhelming response and love from the audience really got them motivated.
Life was busy for all of them, the dream seemed to slip away from their hands but two of their juniors started to bug them, asking them when there would be another such event. That’s when it got to Raisa and Nahian (now the Director of Corporate Affairs for the agency). There should be another InnovEx, bigger and better this time but before all of this - they needed to sort it all out. Ashfaq (now the Director of Operations for the agency) and Raisa went on a meeting with a man with a vision. He advised them to get it legitimised and Raisa paid a lot of heed to him. Came along the way Anamika (now the Director of Management for the agency), Jauad (now the director of Finance for the agency) and Alif (now the Director of Public Relations and Network for the agency) to help Raisa with her lifelong dream. In the next two or three weeks, she worked day and night and finally got her and Mahjabeen’s dream come true.
