Tong-Ghor means a tiny shed based space. At Dhaka city most of the road side tea stalls are in Tong-Ghor. From there the name Tong-Ghor Talkies came!

It has produced & co-produced short films which are officially selected in many recognized International Film Festivals & achieved awards too. It is also a platform for independent filmmakers. Tong Ghor Talkies distribute short films from worldwide in their YouTube Channel & website.

It was established with the vision of captured moments of life as a film & work with plots that are more close to urban life, political & social conflicts.
