UAP Film Club attended Goethe-Institut Bangladesh's at monthly flim showing program as their club partner.

Goethe Institut Bangladesh, a German language school which is highly interested in cultural interaction. Every month, Goethe Institut shows German and Bangla films for free.

On 28 December at 5 to 8 pm,UAP Film Club was invited with MIST Drama and Film Society at Goethe Institut.This time's German film was 'Systemsprenger (Systen Crasher)'. Director Nora Fingscheidt successfully depicted the chaotic and lively trip of nine-year-old child Benni through all conceivable stations of German Child Protective Services. After this memorable film, two Bangladeshi directors, Bijon Imtiaz and Arifur Rahman, who are one of the pioneers of the documentary cinema genre in our country, showed a film of theirs, 'Nasima (Beyond the Wave, Bangladesh Surf Girls)'. This documentary portrays the rural women in Bangladesh and is highly encouraging to them. Then Arifur Rahman's tale behind this documentary and his closing statements were very mesmarising.

It was a wonderful experience collaborating with Goethe Institut for UAP Film Club and wants an excellent experience together in future.

UAP Film Club and UAP - YES jointly organized a short filmmaking competition titled, "Film Festival Against Corruption" from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on October 19, 2022, at UAP Auditorium.
The festival showcased 09 short films which were prepared by the students of UAP.
Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury, Director, Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW), UAP. In this Flim Festival. the Special Guest was Syed Ahmed Shawki Shawki Syed, Director and Story Writer (Taqdeer & Karagar). In this short film-making competition, the Honorable Judge Panel was Dr. Fahmida Akhter Professor Department of Drama and Dramatics Jahangirnagar University, Mohsin Ul Hakim, Bangladeshi TV journalist Special Reporter, Jamuna TV attended the program. Honorable Adviser of UAP Film Club 'Shammi Akhter, adviser of UAP Yes Club A.S Zaforullah Momtaz and UAP YES Coordinator Hozzatul Islam from Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) attended the event. Md. Tarek Khan, Assistant Director, DSW, UAP also attended the program.
The theme of the film festival was "Film Festival Against Corruption" and all the short films were related to different perspectives on Anit-Corruption. The program drew much attention and many students from different departments of UAP attended the program and watched the films.
At the end of the festival, Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury thanked everyone who was associated with the successful arrangement of the festival and ended the program with a vote of thanks.

To stand against corruption together, UAP Film Club & YES Club jointly hosting Flim Festival on October 19 at UAP auditorium. Submit your "Anti- Corruption Short Film" (দুর্নীতিবিরোধী শর্টফিল্ম) before October 16.
Prize money, Crests & Certificates will be provided.

Rules:
1. The short films must have the time duration between 2-10 mins.
2. Everyone related to the short film should be the student of UAP.
3. No offended scenes will be allowed.
