In 2018-2019, I was deeply immersed in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, playing it just for the sheer joy of it. Hours would fly by as I grinded away, and at the time, I was an avid fan of Astralis. They were dominating the scene, and in my eyes, they were the epitome of cool.

But life wasn't always easy. I often felt lonely and found myself stuck in my room. With little else to do, Counter-Strike became my refuge. I formed remarkable friendships online, even though we had never met in person. The connection we had felt as strong as any in-person bond.

When I was a kid, I used to dream of becoming a professional player and competing internationally. As I got older, I realized that dream might never come true, but my passion for the game remained undiminished.

Then came 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic. We were all trapped indoors, unable to go out. It was during this time that my friends and I turned to Counter-Strike for solace. The game turned into a place where we could meet, chat, have fun, and just spend time together. We played tirelessly, and it seemed like all I did was play this online game. I have no regrets, though, because Counter-Strike filled the void of loneliness. We laughed, we had fun, and every moment was pure joy.

I remember when the CSBD community was filled with lively, fun-loving people. We played with them and shared some wonderful moments. One memory that stands out is playing before iftar during Ramadan and continuing until the pre-dawn seheri meal. CSBD brought us immense joy.

As time passed, people moved on to their regular lives, and many of my friends stopped playing, their last logins dating back a year or two. But I'm still here, with Counter-Strike as my companion. As it nears its end, I can't help but reflect on the countless cherished memories it has given me. I'm not sad that Counter-Strike is ending; I'm grateful that it ever existed. Long live Counter-Strike, for it holds a special place in my heart, reminding me of the best moments of my youth.

How The Ejaj Gaming Scammed me.

আসসালামু আলাইকুম। গত D1 Cup Tournamet এ Team XTGA রেজিস্টার করতে পারেনি কয়েকজন lead gamer পরীক্ষা নিয়ে ব্যস্ত থাকায়।

যার কারণে আমি XTGA_Senpa1 একা রেজিস্টার করি The Ejaj Gaming এর টিমের হয়ে। এর আগে তার সাথে আমার কোনো যোগাযোগ ছিলোনা। তার এই D1 Cup টিমের কেউই আগে থেকে পরিচিত না, সবাই তার একটা পোস্ট থেকে তার সাথে যোগাযোগ করে টিম ফর্ম করে। আমাদের টিমের সবাই দুইদিন ধরে প্র্যাক্টিস করেছিলাম কিন্তু সেখানে তার কোনো effort ছিলোনা, কোনো স্ট্র্যাটেজি বিল্ডাপে তার কোনো participation ছিলোনা, এমনকি প্রথম ম্যাচের আগে আমরা টিমের ৪ জন বিকাল থেকে মিটিং প্র্যাক্টিস স্ট্র্যাটেজি বিল্ডাপ তৈরি নিয়ে ছিলাম, তার কোনো খোঁজই ছিলোনা। পুরো টুর্ণামেন্টের লিডার/কোচ এর মতো role play করেছিলো রাহাত ভাই (b1t)।

প্রথম ম্যাচ শুরুর সময়ে, কিছু ইস্যুর কারণে ম্যাচ শুরু হতে delay হয়, The Ejaj Gaming এর কিছু ইস্যুর কারণে আমরা opponent টিমের কাছে সময় চাই এবং তারা সময় দেয়। কিন্তু এরপর সেই টিমের কয়েজনের faceit জনিত কিছু ইস্যু হয় তখন তারা সময় চাইলে Ejaj তাদের সাথে খুব unprofessional এবং rude আচরণ করে, এমনকি তাদেরকে পার্সোনালি এটাক করে। যার কারণে তারা forfeit করে। আমরা ৪ জন খেলতে চাইলেও Ejaj না খেলেই win নেওয়ার জন্য এমন করে।

ম্যাচ শেষে রাহাত ভাই এই বিষয়ে প্রতিবাদ করলে Ejaj তাকে টিম থেকে বের করে দেয়, সবখান থেকে কিক করে দেয়। আমাদের সাথে এই বিষয়ে কোনো কথা বলেনি কিন্তু রাহাত ভাইকে সে বলেছিলো এটা নাকি টিমের সবার ডিসিশন। এটা নিয়ে আমি প্রতিবাদ করি এবং রাহাত ভাইকে ফিরিয়ে আনতে বলি। কিন্তু সে একথার পাত্তাই দেয়নি।

পরেরদিন দ্বিতীয় ম্যাচের আগে আমরা ৪ জন ডিসাইড করি আমরা Ejaj এর IGLing ফলো না করে আমরা নিজেরাই collective effort দিয়ে ম্যাচ খেলবো। পরে ম্যাচ শুরুর আগে আমার faceit launch হতে একটু সমস্যা হওয়ায় সে আমাকে কিছু বলার সুযোগ না দিয়েই sub কে নিয়ে ম্যাচ শুরু করে দেয়।

এরপর ম্যাচ হারার পর সে ফেসবুকে excuse দিয়ে কান্নাকাটি করে পোস্ট দেয়, এমনকি কয়েকজনের সাথে গালাগালি পর্যন্ত যায় যেটা একজন কন্টেন্ট ক্রিয়েটর/স্ট্রিমারের থেকে unexpected. এর দুইদিন পর সে হঠাত তার discord server এ ম্যাসেজ দেয় যে "ফাহিম কোনো টাকা পাবে না", বাকিরা কারণ জানতে চাইলে সে বলে, Trinity Esports তার একটা মন্তব্যের জবাবে একটা meme type পোস্ট দেয় এবং সেখানে আমার "haha react" থাকায় সে আমাকে টিম থেকে বের করে দিয়েছে এবং আমাকে D1 থেকে পাওয়া প্রাইজ মানি থেকে কোনো টাকা দিবে না।

পরে আমি তাকে ইনবক্স করে কারণ জানতে চাইলে সে আমাকে কী উত্তর দেয় তা স্ক্রিনশটে দেওয়া থাকবে। সে নিজে গেইমে একটিভ থাকেনা আর আমাকে বলে আমি নাকি এক্টিভ না, যারা আমার সাথে খেলে তারা জানে আমার ব্যাপারে, এটা নিয়ে কথা বাড়ালাম না।

আরো কিছু স্ক্রিনশট পোস্টের সাথে include করা থাকবে যাতে তার মানসিকতা কেমন সবাই জানতে পারে।

আর হ্যা, তার এই টাকার আমার দরকারও নাই, পোস্টটা করলাম যাতে in future এমন টক্সিক স্ক্যামার থেকে সবাই দূরে থাকে।
