২০ জুলাই সারাদেশে শান্তিপূর্ণ হরতালের ডাক, অর্থনৈতিক প্রতিরোধে আওয়ামী লীগপন্থীদের সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণের আহ্বান

আওয়ামী লীগের সহযোগী সংগঠন ও দলীয় সমর্থকদের পক্ষ থেকে আগামী রবিবার, ২০ জুলাই, সারাদেশে একটি শান্তিপূর্ণ ও অহিংস হরতাল পালনের ঘোষণা দেওয়া হয়েছে। এই কর্মসূচির মূল উদ্দেশ্য সরকারের প্রতি একটি শক্তিশালী অর্থনৈতিক বার্তা প্রদান এবং গণভিত্তিক নাগরিক প্রতিরোধ গড়ে তোলা বলে নেতারা জানিয়েছেন।
দলীয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে, এই হরতালকে সফল করতে আওয়ামী লীগপন্থী নাগরিকদের প্রতি ১০টি নির্দিষ্ট নির্দেশনা দেওয়া হয়েছে, যার মধ্যে রয়েছে মোবাইল ফোন ব্যবহার এড়িয়ে চলা, সন্তানদের স্কুলে না পাঠানো, যানবাহন চলাচলে বিরত থাকা, বাজার-হাট বর্জন, কর্মস্থলে না যাওয়া, এবং প্রবাসীদের জন্য দেশে ফোন বা রেমিট্যান্স না পাঠানোর অনুরোধ।
এছাড়া, চা-কফি-সিগারেট ক্রয় বন্ধ রাখা, টেলিভিশন না দেখা, মিডিয়া কনজাম্পশন হ্রাস, ও সম্পূর্ণ অর্থনৈতিক নিষ্ক্রিয়তা বজায় রাখার আহ্বান জানানো হয়েছে।
দলীয় নেতা-কর্মীদের মতে, “বাংলাদেশের ৪০ থেকে ৪৫ শতাংশ মানুষ যদি আওয়ামী লীগের আদর্শে বিশ্বাস করে, তবে এই জনশক্তি একদিনের জন্য অর্থনৈতিক কর্মকাণ্ড বন্ধ রাখলে, সরকারের ওপর তা হবে একটি বড় ধরনের অর্থনৈতিক ও রাজনৈতিক চাপ।”
তারা আরও জানান, এই হরতাল পুরোপুরি অহিংস এবং আইনের সীমার মধ্যে থেকে পালন করা হবে। পর্যায়ক্রমে এর সময়সীমা বৃদ্ধি ও ভবিষ্যৎ কর্মসূচির ঘোষণা আসতে পারে বলেও ইঙ্গিত দিয়েছেন সংগঠকরা।
বিশ্লেষকরা মনে করছেন, বর্তমান রাজনৈতিক অস্থিরতার প্রেক্ষাপটে এই ধরনের সংগঠিত এবং শান্তিপূর্ণ কর্মসূচি সরকারবিরোধী জনগোষ্ঠীর মনোভাবের একটি নতুন দিক উন্মোচন করতে পারে।

Nationwide Peaceful Strike Called for July 20: Awami League Supporters Urged to Join Economic Resistance

Affiliate organizations and supporters of the Awami League have announced a countrywide peaceful and non-violent strike on Sunday, July 20. The primary aim of this program is to send a strong economic message to the ruling authority and to build a unified civilian resistance, according to organizers.
Sources confirm that ten specific actions have been advised to supporters, including turning off mobile phones (particularly Grameenphone), keeping children home from schools and colleges, avoiding all vehicle use unless for emergencies, refraining from shopping or going to markets, and skipping work for the day—both in public and private sectors.
Additionally, expatriates have been asked not to make calls or send remittances on that day. Citizens are also urged to avoid consumption of tea, coffee, ci******es, and to refrain from watching television or engaging with media content. A call has been made to maintain complete economic inactivity for the day.
Organizers argue, “If 40-45% of the population who believe in the ideals of the Awami League remain inactive for just one day, it will exert serious pressure on the regime.”
They further emphasized that the protest will be entirely peaceful and within legal bounds, with the possibility of escalating actions and duration in the coming days.
So far, no official comment has been issued by law enforcement agencies.
