গ্রামে আপনাকে কেউ ছুরি নিয়ে দৌড়ালে আপনাকে বাঁচানোর অনেক মানুষ এগিয়ে আসবে। কারণ তারা আপনাকে ফলো করছিলো। শহরে দিনে দুপুরে রাস্তায় দৌড়িয়ে প্রকাশ্যে খু'ন হয়।
আপনি অসুখে ঘরে পড়ে থাকলে তারা আপনার খোঁজ নিবে চা স্টলে অন্যদের কাছে। আপনার বাড়ি যাবে। তারা জানে আপনি দুইদিন ধরে বের হোন না। কারণ তারা আপনাকে ফলো করছিলো।
আপনি খালি ঘরে মরে থাকলে তারা এসে আপনাকে উদ্ধার করে আপনার আত্মীয়দেরকে খবর দিবে। জানাজার কেউ না থাকলে আপনাকে তারাই কাফন জানাজা পড়িয়ে দাফন করিবে।
আর শহরে আপনি না খেয়ে থাকলেও কেউ দেখবে না। লাশ পঁচে গন্ধ বের হলে তখন সামনের ইউনিটের মানুষ আপনার খোঁজ পাবে।
গ্রামে আজও ইফতার,ঈদ,মেহমান আসলে পাশের বাড়িতে খাবার পাঠায়। শহরে বিয়েতে নিজের ভাড়াটিয়াকেও দাওয়াত দেয় না।
গ্রামের মানুষ সমালোচনা করে বলেই আজও গ্রামে অনেক ধরনের পাপ হয়না। আপনিও মানুষের মতো মানুষ হতে পেরেছেন এরপর শহরে এসে ফুটানি করতে পারছেন।

শহরের বাসা বাড়ি ছেলেমেয়েদেরকে দিয়ে শেষ বয়সে গ্রামে গিয়ে একটা এক তলার বাড়ি করুন। উঠানে ফুলের গাছ লাগান,উঠানের সাথে লাগুয়া খালি জায়গায় সবজি চাষ করুন। ছোট্ট একটা পুকুর বানিয়ে মাছ ছাড়ুন। ফসলি জমি গুলোতে ধান লাগান। দ্রব্যমূল্যের যখন ঊর্ধ্বগতি তখন নিজের ঘরে বসে নিজের ক্ষেতের ধানের চাল,পুকুরের মাছ আর উঠানের সবজি দিয়ে খেয়ে তৃপ্তির ঢেকুর তুলুন।
শেষ বয়সে মুক্ত বাতাসে নিঃশ্বাস নিন। বুড়ো বুড়ি মিলে বিকেলে বারান্দায় বসে চা পান করুন। কলকারখানার দূষিত ধোঁয়া হীন মেঘাচ্ছন্ন খোলা আকাশ দেখুন। এরপর আপনার মৃত্যুর পর কবর টা নিরব জায়গায় থাকবে যেখানে কোনো গানের আওয়াজ আসবে না। যার পাশ দিয়ে অশালীন ড্রেস পড়ে কেউ অতিক্রম করবে না। যে কবর অতিক্রম করবে সে সালাম দিয়ে আপনাকে স্মরণ করবে। উনি খুব ভালো মানুষ ছিলেন,উনার সন্তানেরা মানুষ হয়েছে। আল্লাহ উনাকে জান্নাত দান করুন। শহরে কিছুদিন পরপর কবর পরিবর্তন হয়। আপনি একদিন হারিয়ে যাবেন আপনার সন্তানের চোখ থেকেও।
