Its a great news that finally Bangladeshi DJs are taking necessary steps to create a proper association for the DJs which was badly needed for the longest time !

As i have already mentioned in many of my interviews previously ! Thanks to the following DJs for taking this step ! I hope the Bangladeshi DJ industry will be enriched with this unity !

Hi!
Experienced something strange during a job Saturday. Me and a couple of guests responded to some scurring/cratching and false melodies during periods. It was very unpredictable, the falsity was as if the song that was playing tried to catch up the tempo to the song I was cueing. I’m not using Mastertempo, quantize or sync, only Vinyl-mode. The files are purchased at iTunes, Mastermixdj, Bandcamp, Juno and some gifted from colleagues, i do not suspect corrupt files. Any one experienced this?

সেই শুরু থেকেই আমি ব্যক্তিগতভাবে কখনোই DJing শিখাই না। আমার কোন প্রতিষ্ঠান নেই। কেউ আমার কাছে DJing শিখতে আসলেই প্রথমে যে কোন একটি musical instrument বাজানো শিখে আসতে বলি। আর তখনই সে চম্পট। Basically stage এ একজন DJ যা যা করে সেসব শিখতে একজন সুস্থ স্বাভাবিক মানুষের এক ঘন্টা সময় লাগার কথা, সেই জিনিসগুলো একটু সুন্দর করে করতে এক সপ্তাহ সময় লাগার কথা, এবং একই বিষয়ে এক্সপার্ট লেভেলে যেতে ছয় মাস লাগার কথা।
ভালো Dj হতে হলে ভালো Musician অথবা Basic music সম্পর্কে ধারনা থাকতে হবে এর কোন ব্যতিক্রম নেই। আমি মনে করি যত DJ তৈরি হচ্ছে তত industry টার বেহাল অবস্থা হচ্ছে কারণ আজ যে DJ হল কাল সেই DJ আপনার একজন client এর Show করবে। যেহেতু সে নতুন তাই আপনার থেকে কম payment এ শো করবে। তাহলে payment কমে যাচ্ছে, Industry ধ্বংস হয়ে যাচ্ছে, এই সকল বিষয়বস্তুর জন্য কে দায়ী?
নিজে যেটা জানি, যেটা পারি, সেটা অন্যের সাথে শেয়ার করা একটা ভালো quality. তাই বলে commercial DJ বানানো না।
সবার প্রতি সম্মান প্রদর্শক পূর্বক অনুরোধ করছি যাদের basic music, chords, Note সম্পর্কে idea নেই তাদেরকে DJing industry তে এনে quality নষ্ট না করার জন্য।

শিল্পীর সার্থকতা তার সৃষ্টিকে Stage এ নিয়ে যাওয়াতে।
Stage performance চলবে, Audience interact করবে, Request আসবে, (নিজের মৌলিক) Announced করে পারফর্ম করবে এর চেয়ে শান্তি অন্য কিছুতে হতে পারে না।
শিল্পীর পরিচয় তার মৌলিক সৃষ্টিতে।

যারা DJ,
তারা কি মিউজিসিয়ান?
উত্তর- না !! সবাই না।
যেকোনো ব্যক্তি,যে কোন ধরনের ইভেন্টে, যেকোনো ডিভাইস দিয়ে মিউজিক প্লে করতে পারেন, সেই ক্ষেত্রে উনিও একজন DJ.
কিন্তু professional DJ হতে হলে অবশ্যই যেকোনো ব্যক্তিকে ন্যূনতম একটি মিউজিক্যাল ইন্সট্রুমেন্ট বাজানো শিখতে হবে, chords & note সম্পর্কে জ্ঞান থাকতে হবে। পৃথিবীর বিভিন্ন দেশের DJ রা সবাই অনেকদিন সঙ্গীত চর্চা করে আসার পরে EDM producer / DJ হয়েছেন।
শুধুমাত্র আমাদের এই উপমহাদেশের মধ্যেই কিছুটা ভিন্নতা দেখা যায়।
আর এই কারণে professional DJ, শখের বসে DJ, নামমাত্র DJ, social media DJ, senior DJ/ junior DJ
এই সকল বিষয়বস্তু দেখতে পাই।

Note : YOU HAVE TO BE A GOOD MUSICIAN IF YOU WANT TO BE A PROFESSIONAL DJ.

When you hire a DJ for your event you should listen to his/her playlist.
You cant force them to play your choice.
Hardly you can request a track, but your DJ is not bound to play that. He/she might not have that track in playlist.
That's why you need to know his style of playing and genre he/she used to play.
Ask for his/her protfolio or profile. Every DJ must submit their profile before booking confirmation. As your client knows you before the event.

Note: good professional DJ's aren't cheap, Cheap DJ's aren't good.
