Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom opens with an action-packed, lavish dance number at Club Obi-Wan—where the villain Lao Che first appears. Decades later, Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 13 “Pabu” begins in a similarly styled venue called Club Lao Che—its name written in Aurebesh as a nod to that same antagonist. This connection reflects the long-standing creative partnership between George Lucas and Steven Spielberg.

James Earl Jones, renowned for voicing the iconic villain Darth Vader in Star Wars, also lent his deep, commanding voice to the Indiana Jones Adventure ride, Temple of the Forbidden Eye, at Disneyland. In this attraction, he voices the antagonist Mara, a deity who curses guests for looking into its eyes with the memorable line, "You looked into my eyes!" His powerful narration plays a vital role in shaping the ride's narrative and sound design.

Alema Rar was a Rutian Twi'lek (Blue skinned) who grew up in poverty on Ryloth with her sister Numa. Both of them were enslaved at a young age but then rescued and trained to be Jedi Knights. She was known for being flirtatious and often relied on her body and looks to get her way, often wearing clothes that were 2 or 3 sizes too small.

During the Yuuzong Vong war the start of her slide to the dark side began. It was Alema and Numa who first came into contact with the deadly animal hybrids made by the Vong known as Voxen. Numa died in the encounter and Alema barely escaped. For the rest of the war, Alema while she did not fall, had been consumed by grief and had a lust for vengeance that left her not turned, but tainted by the dark side.

Later during the Dark Nest crisis, Alema was turned to the Dark Side by Lomi Plo, a Dark Jedi who had become the queen of the Killik nest known as the Gorog. While the other Jedi that became Killik Joiners did not fall to the Dark Side, Alema chose her path to join Lomi Plo. Her very identity became shattered as she now identified more with the Killik nest than anything else. She referred to herself in the plural sense using we and our instead of me and mine, showing her whole acceptance of her new identity. As a Jedi Knight, Alema had a rare, silver bladed lightsaber, which was taken from her after a battle with Luke Skywalker after being greviously injured, having her shoulder nearly completely bisected, leaving her arm limp and useless. She would then fashion a new lightsaber, with a blade so deeply blue it was almost black, the color of the carapaces of the Gorog nest.

Later she would have multiple battles with Leia Solo, and each time she would escape but come out the worse for wear. Losing most of a Lekku (head tail) and half a foot. In the final battle of the dark nest saga on the planet Tenupae, Alema would end up as a would be dinner for a giant predator known as a spider sloth in the same battle she lost half of her foot in to Leia.

She would end up killing the spider sloth but was nearly bitten in half and spent years recovering and surviving in the Tenupae jungle. Now her body was horribly scarred and maimed, missing half a foot and her one arm atrophying to the point that it almost looked like the arm of a mummy. During this time, she goes insane. Driven by a drive for revenge upon Leia and Luke, though she chose not to see it as revenge, but serving what she called "the balence." For everything done to her, she had to pay it back. Luke for the loss of the use of her arm, and Leia for just about everything else.

She was the epitome of a Dark Jedi. She embraced the Dark Side wholly, but she did not choose the Sith way, even when at her worst, she still identified as a Jedi "serving the balence"

She was a master of infiltration and hiding. Developing powers from her time with the Gorog to use the Force to make anyone who saw her, forget that they had seen her at all within moments of her leaving their sight. She also made use of many environmental weapons, constructing a blow gun and making darts out of the stinger of a deadly wasp from Tenupae. She would have even killed Jacen Solo just after his turn to the dark side if Lumyia had not saved him. Later Alema seeing that Jacen had turned to the Dark Side helped Lumyia to guide the man who eventually became Darth Caedus down the path of the Dark side. And also helped Lumyia defeat and kill Jedi Master Trasina Lobi when she found out Jacen was meeting with Lumyia.

Much later after Lumyia had been killed by Luke Skywalker, Alema claimed Lumyia's lair, and the lair of a former Sith Master Darth Vectivus and obtained even more powers, the ability to create and use Force Phantoms. Some with abilities such as if they were hit, they would actually hurt one of the attackers allies.

Eventually the team of Jaina Solo, Jagged Fel, and Jedi Knight Zekk hunted Alema down on the asteroid she was hiding on and Jagged Fel would be the one to ultimately end her life by snapping her neck with his Mandalorian Crush Gauntlets as he had been hunting for her for many years since her survival on Tenupae to make sure Alema would never create the Dark Nest again.

In the "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" episode "The Gungan General," the headpiece of the Staff of Ra from "Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark" is held by Senator Kharrus, creating a fascinating crossover between the two iconic franchises. Interestingly, both series were created by George Lucas, who has collaborated closely with Steven Spielberg over the years. In "Raiders of the Lost Ark", Indiana Jones uses the headpiece to locate the Well of Souls by casting its shadow on a map, revealing the hidden location of the Ark of the Covenant. In "The Gungan General," the headpiece is used as a symbol of power and authority, showcasing how artifacts can have significant meaning across different narratives within these beloved universes.

In the Star Wars galaxy, many characters and species who speak Galactic Basic Standard, the galaxy's lingua franca equivalent to English, exhibit noticeable accents that mirror real-world cultures, a choice often deliberately made by the writers, including George Lucas. For example, Imperial officers frequently speak with Received Pronunciation, a formal British English accent, meant to convey authority and reflect the Empire's perceived sophistication, while the Rebel Alliance members often speak with American accents. Beyond these core factions, specific species are often associated with particular accents; many Twi'leks speak with a French accent, a decision personally requested by George Lucas, while Neimoidians in the prequel films have been noted to speak with a Japanese accent, which has been a source of controversy. Additionally, Nightsisters, particularly Merrin from "Jedi: Fallen Order", often speak with Slavic or Russian-sounding accents. These creative choices add depth to the characters and reflect real-world cultural associations, though some have been criticized for potentially perpetuating stereotypes.
