He has completed his bachelor’s in Soil and Environmental Sciences at University of Barishal, Bangladesh. He is a Soil and Environmental Steward. He is also a young scientific researcher. He has a strong belief in himself that he can do hard work and face all the challenges with his honesty, wisdom, integrity, and reliance on The Almighty. He likes to learn and use his special ideas, strategies, a

nd innovative planning for getting success in any sector of his life. He is good at different research idea generation and formulating methodologies in a problem-solving manner. His research interests focus on Soil and Environmental Management, Climate Change, Water Quality, and Disaster Management, etc. He received training in writing research proposals, conducting scientific research, data analysis from different organizations. He has expertise in operating different software e.g. SPSS, ArcGIS, GraphPad Prism, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint. He has been working as a team leader of the Research Group of the University of Barishal and the director of the group is Dr. Hafiz Ashraful Haque, Assistant Professor and Chairman of Coastal Studies and Disaster Management. He participated in the 2nd International Congress on Earth Sciences 2019 as a poster presenter, from 18th November to 20th November 2019 at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel, Bali, Indonesia, and in Asia World Model United Nations II 2019 from 30th January to 2nd February 2019 at Prince Palace Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. To sum up, Md. Nayem Hasan Munna is a young researcher working on soil, water, and environmental issues with optimism and confidence. His ultimate goal is to contribute to Bangladesh's environmental sector through his scientific research which is very needful for the country.

Our Story | Earth Review

What is “Earth Review”? “Earth Review” is is an environmental awareness and research-based organization (earthreview.org) in Bangladesh that is established in 2017. Md. Nayem Hasan Munna is the founder of the organization. The vision of the “Earth Review” website is to explore the natural resources of the earth by writing and sharing articles related to Soil Science, Environmental Science, Hydrology, Coastal Studies, and Disaster Management.

The Objectives of “Earth Review”:

-Developing the basic skill of the individuals, especially who are involved in agriculture and gardening -Soil quality analysis and providing with some basic recommendations -Water quality (drinking water, irrigation water, etc) analysis -Working on the cropping pattern of different locations of Bangladesh -Working on wild /native /local plants of Bangladesh -Environmental improvement -Environmental awareness program -Raising awareness of climate change and risks -Pollution mitigation -Soil conservation -Working on plant diseases -Study on plant growth -Cropping system development -Disaster management activities -The arrangement of some effective seminar and discussion so that the basic knowledge about soil properties, fertility, productivity, cropping pattern, water quality, environmental pollution and solution, climate change, global warming, greenhouse effect etc.

Now we will define every sector of natural sciences below:

Soil Science is the study of soil as a natural resource on the surface of the Earth including soil formation, classification and mapping; physical, chemical, biological, and properties of soil fertility; and these properties in relation to the use and management of soil resource.

Environmental Science is the study of the effects of natural and unnatural processes, and of interactions of the physical elements of the planet on the environment.

Hydrology is the science that encompasses the occurrence, distribution, movement, and properties of the waters of the earth and the relationship to the environment within each phase of the hydrologic cycle.

Coastal Geography is the study of the constantly changing region between the ocean and the land, incorporating both the physical geography (i.e. coastal geomorphology, geology, and oceanography) and the human geography (sociology and history) of the coast.

Disaster Management can be defined as the organization and management of resources and responsibilities for dealing with all humanitarian aspects of emergencies, in particular, preparedness, response, and recovery in order to lessen the impact of disasters.

In a nutshell, all of the natural resources are interrelated to each other. So we have to learn at least the basic of all of the branches of natural sciences. The organization is working on different environmental issues as the individuals of the organization are really passionate about Environmental Stewardship. They hope that they can do something better for the people and the earth.
