Dear friends,

Today I regretfully announce the closing of The Literary Bohemian.

The Literary Bohemian has always been an out-of-pocket, unpaid labor of love. But life's new balance sheet no longer justifies the maintenance costs or hours spent creating new issues.

I'm proud of the award-winning work we've published since 2008, and the accolades we've received from Poets & Writers, Best of the Net, New Pages, and others. The beautifully designed Literary Bohemian will remain online, where you will find its inspirational archive of poetry, postcard prose, travel notes and visual poetry.

May the road rise up to meet you,

Carolyn Zukowski, Editor, The Literary Bohemian

No, Meta, I don't want to sign up for your BUSINESS SUITE. I just want to tell our smart and literary friends that we're getting close to announcing our GREAT RESIGNATION issue. Stay tuned!

A poem perfect for posting on social media. From Michael Bazzett's forthcoming book, "The Echo Chamber," from Milkweed Press.

I travel back in time to find a woman by a pond, embroidery hoop in hand, her needle dipping and rising like a dolphin as she hand-crafts a selfie.
