Big misconception about 'authentic content' 🙄I see and hear examples of this time and time again, so it calls for a reminder that authentic/raw/unfiltered/candid content DOES NOT MEAN POOR QUALITY CONTENT! 😤
The art of capturing the moment and storytelling from an authentic place does not mean it should be sh*tty low quality, but it also doesn’t need to be a whole production with perfect lighting every time.
💣 Low effort & low quality does not = authentic
Find your balance and remember it is ok to have variation in your content. Consistency in your messaging and visuals is always brilliant but what matters MOST is your ability to connect on a human level with truly authentic content. Don’t filter yourself.
Just don’t assume that this 👆 means you can get away with avoiding some key basics that will help make your content more watchable. Improving quality doesn’t take away from the rawness or reality, it just makes it nicer for people to watch.
Key basics to be mindful of:
Visuals, audio, captions, emojis, stickers, font choice, colours, filters, sizing all matter.
But think of it more as trying to achieve accessibility rather than aesthetics. 👏
You want your content to be easy to consume. Don’t alienate everyone with your half assed efforts, they can tell you DGAF.
