INTRODUCING: 💜 LAVENDER ROOM 💜

Lavender Room: Youth Speaking Queerly is a brand new podcast created by the amazing young people at YAAS! Young Authentic and Social. In the April school holidays a group of LGBTQIA+ youth and allies spent two days designing, planning, recording and producing Season 1 of the Lavender Room podcast. They were guided by our friend Phil at Studio Ark Media.

In Season 1, our young people sit down with local LGBTQIA+ seniors for inspiring, multi-generational conversations. Set a reminder in your calendar! Lavender Room drops NEXT WEDNESDAY 31 MAY 3PM!!

Excited for this to be at Coast Life Fest!

⛵️Peter Warner is an Australian former ship's captain who, skippering his yacht, Astor, won line honours in 1961, 1963, and 1964 in the annual Sydney to Hobart yacht race, and came second in 1962 by 1 minute.

Peter discovered six Tongan youths marooned on a Pacific island in 1966, more than a year after they had been presumed dead.

Mano Tatau was one of the boys Peter rescued and later became a member of his crew. The pair have been close friends for over 50 years, showing no signs of slowing down, still sailing, and more.

They will be sharing their incredible, heart-warming story of life at sea, friendship, and growing fearless and bold.

This is guaranteed to be one of the highlights of the Coast Life program. We can’t wait to welcome these two incredible men to the stage.

Peter & Mano will be speaking in the main stage at 1pm, following the screening of their short film Fearless Ocean Adventurer, presented by our brilliant event partner .

We are taking part in this year’s Take 3's CEO Clean!

🏖 The CEO Clean Up is a clean up event for business leaders on the Central Coast, NSW
⏰Friday 20th November 2020 8am-10am
📍Terilbah Reserve, North Entrance.

🌏The unique event encourages CEOs, directors and business owners to roll up their sleeves and clean up their local community while fundraising to support clean oceans.

We are excited to be a part of it this year and contribute to such a great local cause.

📚Last year’s event raised $15,000 and helped Take 3 run education programs in schools for 1,500 kids. This year, we’re hoping to raise $30,000 which will help us get closer to our goal of educating a million kids by 2023.

Who can participate? ... as it’s still not to late!

CEOs, directors, business owners and leaders on the Central Coast, NSW can participate in the clean up event.
