Some people may recognise Ion's name, but most in the pest management industry may not be aware of the significant achievements he has made during his 66 years in the field. Ion is, of course, the co-author of our industry's "bible," 'Urban Pest Management in Australia,' but he has also co-authored several other important publications.

In our conversation, we delve into how Ion initially entered the industry, what it was like to work as a pest controller in those earlier times, the formation of AEPMA, his involvement in co-authoring the first formal TAFE course, and the establishment of the very first one-stop pest supply shop. This two-part series serves as a tribute to a genuine legend in our industry.

A warm welcome to our new fans - 56% of our listeners joined us in 2023, with 15% of them tuning in for the first time during Dini Miller's podcast. 🎉🎧

What a fantastic night of networking organised by Pestie Profiles! We had an incredible turnout with a bunch of our Aussie delegates attending PestWorld Hawaii 2023. It was such a pleasure to see so many familiar faces and meet new professionals in the pest management industry.

A big thank you to all those who came to mingle and make this event a huge success. Networking is such a crucial part of our industry, and it's events like these that allow us to connect, share knowledge, and build valuable relationships.

Today, we are all geared up and excited to attend the first day of sessions at PestWorld Hawaii 2023. Not only do you excel at being the best dad to our kids, but you also selflessly support countless other Pestie dads in the industry. Your dedication to helping others knows no bounds, as you willingly give up your precious time without expecting anything in return for no financial gain. Your generosity is truly remarkable.

Over the past five years, you have faced numerous challenges, and I cannot express enough how grateful our children and I are to still have you by our side, alive and well. It is a true blessing. I love our time together as co-hosts of Pestie Profiles, and I am so looking forward to releasing our new episodes next week.
