Glen Hunwick was selected for Screen Australia’s “Director's to watch” showcase at the Directors Guild of America (DGA) Theatre in Los Angeles on January 13th 2009. The program is a mix of Australian shorts and trailers for
features being released in 2009 including Jane Campion's Bright Star, Bruce Beresford's, Mao's Last Dancer,
Adam Elliot’s claymation feature Mary and Max. Glen’s short animation film ‘Mutt’ qualified for the 2008 Academy Award pre-selection screenings. Glen has been a mentor, sponsor and film assessor for film based institutions such as VCA (Victorian College of the Arts), RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology), Gordon Institute of TAFE and currently lectures animation related subjects at Swinburne University of Technology. He has also acted as Juror for the Australian Film Institute Awards (AACTA), and sat on numerous advertising award panels.
