Having its final test run in this shop this morning is the cute little AWA “Cappuccino” coffee table Stereogram from 1963.
Photos etc. later in the day when it passes it’s audition.

One of our favourite cabinets has to be the amazing Philips “Flight Deck”. So named because the amplifier and turntable rise up out of the unit as you lift the lid like the aircraft lift on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier.
With it’s stylish 1960’s cabinet details and fabulous sound from the 3 way stereo speakers this special piece is having its final test flight today. Now SOLD

In the early 1980’s Technics released a series of turntables whose main design goal was to be no bigger than a 12” album cover.
The result was the SL series of linear tracking turntables using a sophisticated mechanism housed in the units lid.
This one is the SL-D4 and is now available in the shop. $550 Now SOLD
Having its final test today is this gorgeous cherry red PYE “Transista”. All going well it will be in the shop this afternoon.
The track is “Tabu” by Terry Snyder and The All Stars.
The pinnacle of 1980’s design in hi-fi is getting a final test today. Bang and Olufsen Beocenter 9000 from 1987.
We’re putting a PYE 1010SL modular through its final test today. Sounds like it will pass with flying colours. Photos and price later today.
A touch of warmth for these cold Melbourne days - “Fiesta Tropicana” on a tiny Kingsley portable.
Sweet little machine with a 4 speed deck and volume/power control and not much else except it’s immaculate vinyl case and carry handle. $275
