We are excited to share the official poster for the documentary film, "A Man Called Hurt - The Life & Music of Mississippi John Hurt."

To recap, this documentary film is a collaboration between the Mississippi John Hurt Foundation and Draft, a creative production company located in Knoxville, Tennessee. The road to the film's completion has been long and many of you have been with us every step of the way. Whether you made a financial contribution, shared our story with friends, or simply believed in us - we thank you for being so supportive throughout this project!

The Mississippi John Hurt Foundation would like to express their very deep gratitude to Edward Elbers for his very kind donation of the image used in the official film poster. Edward is the custodian of the Joe Alper photo collection. Joe took many wonderful images of John Hurt during the early 60s including this chosen photo, taken at the Newport Folk Festival in 1963.

Stay tuned for further updates as we navigate the film festival circuit. We hope that you will have the opportunity to see the film at a screening near you.
