SUPPORT THE BEVITTS!

Anyone who's been out to see a live band in the Manning region over the last 20 years knows how amazingly great our local musos are.

Similarly, anyone who has taken music lessons understands the importance of a committed and inspiring teacher.

Matt Bevitt is both of these - an amazingly talented and expressive drummer whose local performances are the stuff of legend, and a drum teacher who has shaped the minds of young drummers for 17 years! But he is much more than that!

He's a loving husband to Jamie and father to three great kids, a valued employee and workmate, and a cherished friend to countless people all over the place.

Now Matt and his family are doing it pretty tough, after Matt was diagnosed with Cancer. Matt's taking it all in his stride (cos that's the kind of guy he is), but anyone who's been touched by the cruel hand of Cancer knows how much of a toll it takes on the patient and also their family.

Cancer doesn't take a day off, and neither do mortgages, power bills and school fees. And this illness drains sick leave and bank accounts VERY quickly.

SO! What can you do to help? Well, the easiest (and most helpful) thing you could do is donate to this GoFundMe fundraiser.

GOOD LUCK to all the EMG Music Hub students competing in the Taree and District Eisteddfod Instrumental Section this week.

We know there's a whole bunch of drum students performing on Wednesday, and on Wednesday night, we have a bit of a record - 5 drumming students performing in the Championships!!

If you feel like catching some great young musos in action, you can be an audience member all this week, with the highlight being the Championships on Wednesday night from 6pm. There's a small fee to be an audience member, but it would be worth it to support our young stars!!!

We are all so grateful at the hub for everything Michael brings to our days, he’s often the one ya hear cracking jokes or checking in with everyone in the hub foyer.
