Another killer release out today on INNERCITY UPRISING! This one by Brisbane hardcore punk mob NO ALLEGIANCE. NO ALLEGIANCE have been tearing around the sunshine state playing a stack of cracker all ages shows whilst gaining a solid little following. Youth crew inspired hardcore punk with a unique old school Brissy sound with plenty to say. Get over to Bandcamp and grab a limited cassette or rip a free download. Sad day when the punk community looses a dear friend. Henk Smit loved Aussie hardcore punk. From the other side of the world in his heady city of Amsterdam he ran KANGAROO RECORDS and put out releases for TOE TO TOE, AVO, WORLD WAR 24, ROCKS, BLITZ BAIBEZ and my own s**tty band THE BLURTERS. For the last 25 years we’ve traded records and talked s**t.

The last time I was in Amsterdam he got me so pi**ed that I woke up at 10am in a tree in the main part of Amsterdam city. My wallet, phone and smokes laid untouched on the footpath as people went by doing their daily stuff just looking at me.

I can’t say I remeber that night but I’ll never forget the hangover!
