Rancom Street Studios is a traditional style recording studio combining large open acoustic spaces and vintage analogue equipment with the latest in digital recording technology. Whether it's tracking live bands, mixing or mastering, we tailor the recording approach to the requirements of the artist. The decision to use 24 track analogue tape or Pro Tools is in the hands of the client. We work in

a relaxed, comfortable and private environment with artist facilities including spacious chill zone with a pool table, kitchen and internet access. Founded in 1998, Rancom St Studios was built with equipment from Owner/Producer Garth Porter's impressive collection of vintage tube gear in specially designed rooms in Sydney’s Botany. Just 10 minutes from the airport and ten minutes from the CBD, we have our own secure carpark and easy no-steps load in for you and all your gear.

To all our dedicated Rancom St Studio watchers... a big thank you.

Sending you our best wishes for a more caring, and compassionate planet in 2025.
I feel a deep sadness when confronted with ongoing reports of the bombing of women, children and babies... especially in Gaza and The Ukraine. Homes, churches, hospitals and lives destroyed.... wtf.
We all know the 2 men who pass the orders to unleash weapons of war on innocent people. Two men who tragically fail in any test of kindness, caring and compassion.

I wish this could be a happier post, especially after a successful year like we have had at RSS ... some amazing projects, and plenty of happy clients already talking about return trips...
It is great to have Blain Cunneen back in Oz ...
Great to see Dom Corso advancing his talents and recording skills... and recently leaping into the evolving world of Atmos Audio...
Good to have Hugh Kirkwood in the team, learning the endless arts of recording music here at RSS...

Music creation is an everlasting, ever changing journey... wow... beyond life times, an inspiring and eternal challenge...
And here we are, living it !

About our Engineer - Ted Howard Multi-Award winning engineer Ted Howard has recording, mixing and mastering credits including: Yothu Yindi (engineer of the year ARIA award) , Paul Kelly, Kasey Chambers, Leo Sayer, The Church, Lee Kernaghan, Troy Cassar-Daley, Sara Storer, John Williamson, The Flood, Regular John, and many more. His training at Sydney's EMI studios 301 and London's Battery studios had him working with names like Jeff Beck, Black Sabbath, Billy Ocean, Malcolm Maclaren and Ruby Turner."I've worked in many recording studios but Rancom St has that fat chunky tone that only great rooms and top of the line mic chains can help create. It's my favourite studio."
