Equity Foundation The Equity Foundation is the professional development arm of Actors Equity Australia. Our mission is to assist, educate and inspire actors.

The Equity Foundation – the professional development arm of Actors Equity – was established in 2002 to oversee Equity’s publications, awards and extensive professional program. The Equity Foundation is independent from Actors Equity but offers substantive services to Equity members, free of charge. The Foundation relies solely on the support from grants, corporate sponsorships, bequests and indivi

dual contributions to maintain our programs and create new ones. We also want to thank Media Super for their ongoing support of The Equity Foundation and for helping make this all possible.

SELF TEST STUDIO: Need a professional self test? Every Monday, our Sydney Self Test Studio is staffed with a camera operator and reader. One-hour sessions are free for NSW Equity members — just book in, bring your script and we’ll take care of the rest. This is made possible with the generous support of ABF NSW. This is a pilot program we hope to roll out nationwide.

The Equity Foundation also offers Self Test Studios in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland, where members can record auditions and practice self testing in a professional environment at no cost.
