This piece was finished today. All those tiny stitches were a wonderful way for me to use my time - slowly adding colour, texture, shape and form. I asked for reassurance from Trish who I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with. My husband Patrick .visser_art helped with the composition as he’s got the eye! Sarah for framing suggestions and I left it in her capable hands.

I am so grateful I found the time to stitch today. This is what I am slowly stitching. It was going to be a monochromatic landscape but I added some pink floss. Pink is my go-to colour in my art.
The banksias are always a source of inspiration. I'm lucky to have them growing all around me.
What are you grateful for today? What pages or groups do you use?
This is my fourth post this year on this page even though I spend a lot of time on Facebook! I will try to post more.

Shape Textiles and Design exhibit at Sydney Powerhouse. My student Lucy Forest was presented with the Shape award. Her wearable Textile Art piece commentates the 2011 Japanese tsunami.
