Just incase you’ve been hiding under a rock, let me fill you in.
Traffic in our part of the world is about to get chaotic - for the next eight months - when the Alfred St off ramp at North Sydney closes at 10pm on Friday 22 November.
The long term shut-down, along with a southbound section of Alfred St North between Kurraba Rd and Mount St is about to lead to road-rage aplenty as we navigate these changes, so please be kind to each other out there if you can.
If you want to avoid the $2.04 toll every time you take the 200m stretch of road on Falcon St that leads to Military Rd, you’ll need a Plan B.
Transport for NSW advise that if south bound drivers want to access North Sydney, Kirribilli or Neutral Bay, they can use the Pacific Highway exit (off the Lane Cove Tunnel) but it will add an extra 15 MINUTES to your journey.

CWA Sydney City will be serving up their famous scones, Pudding Lane is laden with Christmas puds, Food and Words is stacked with new and pre-loved cookbooks and Gail Clayton Design is ready with the most gorgeous, hand carved spoons, spatulas, spurtles and more!
Seasonal stalls are set to be loaded with freshly, picked cherries, plaited garlic braids, cakes, pies and more - and everyone is encouraged to bring a picnic rug and enjoy brekkie or brunch under the jacaranda tree.

Here’s one from our weird and wonderful file. Mosman resident Rob Klaric walked into Lifeline this arvo to check out John Brogden’s new book ‘Profiles in Hope’ - and almost fell over when he saw a photo of himself and another one of wife Leonie FOR SALE!
“Unbelievable” is how Rob describes what unfolded and he takes up the story from here:
“To my absolute disbelief I found these photos we had lost in a house move during the 1990s,” he said.
“One of the pics is of Leonie standing in the backyard of my late mother Vanda’s family home and birthplace in Mussons in the Northern Italy - and the other one is me, standing in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa taken when Leonie and i first travelled and backpacked together in Italy way back in 1988.”
“More than 30 years later we have been reunited with the two Pictures we loved - and lost.”
“Absolutely no words can explain the emotion of finding these photos today and being reunited with them.”
