A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at the Australian Lithuanian community Kūčios dinner in Sydney! This year, we were thrilled to host over 140 participants, creating a warm and festive atmosphere filled with joy, tradition, and togetherness. 🌟
We were honored to welcome special guests from Lithuania, including Archbishop Lionginas Virbalas, who blessed our evening with his inspiring presence and words of faith. 🙏
A massive thank you goes out to all the amazing volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to prepare the delicious traditional Kūčios dishes that graced our tables. Your hard work and dedication made this evening truly special! 🍴❤️
Let’s cherish these moments of unity and continue nurturing our Lithuanian heritage and traditions here in Australia.

🌞 Thank You to Everyone Who Joined Us at the Sydney Lithuanian Club! 🌞

This past Sunday was a truly special day for our community:

The senior scouts group “Židinys” held their Annual General Meeting, where we reflected on the past year and discussed future plans.
In the afternoon, the Sydney Lithuanian Women’s Social Services Association also held their AGM, sharing updates and planning for the year ahead.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for lunch, and a special thanks to Veronika and Maritsa for organizing the delicious Lithuanian food! Your efforts made the day feel especially warm and welcoming. 💛💚❤️

We look forward to more gatherings and beautiful moments together!

For 75 years, Mūsų Pastogė has united and served the Lithuanian community across Australia, publishing weekly since the arrival of displaced Lithuanians after WWII. Now, it's time to celebrate this milestone with a special event!

We’ve chartered the Starship Aqua for an exclusive harbour cruise—a floating restaurant with stunning views! Enjoy lunch on the entry deck with floor-to-ceiling windows, and relax on the rooftop open-air lounge and bar.

🌻 Father's Day Lunch Celebration by Sydney Lithuanian Club! 🌻

What an incredible day we had this Sunday at our Father's Day Lunch! With over 90 guests in attendance, the club was absolutely packed with love, laughter, and a wonderful sense of community.

We enjoyed a delicious feast featuring traditional Lithuanian dishes including CEPELINAI 🤩. The highlight of the afternoon was a delightful performance by the Sidnėjaus lietuvių vaikų klubas - mokyklėlė Avilys kids, who entertained everyone with their talent and charm, Thanks Emilija for all the encouragement and support for the kids.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special! It was a wonderful celebration of fathers and family. 💛

🏆Every year in August, the National Council of Women of NSW Inc. holds a recognition ceremony for women aged 90 and over, who have made significant contributions to their communities, called the "Jean Arnot Awards." The event takes place at the NSW Parliament House 🏛️. One of the organizers was Dr. Luda Popenhagen, a member of the executive committee and a speaker at this event 🎤.
🥇This year, on August 12, a total of 23 women from various ethnic communities were nominated 🌏. This time, long-time member of the Sydney Lithuanian community, Jadvyga Dambrauskas, received this prestigious award .
👵Jadvyga was honored for her contribution to the weekend Lithuanian language school 📚 at the old Sydney Lithuanian Club in Bankstown, participation in the Sydney Lithuanian Choir "Daina" 🎶, work in the Lithuanian Community Press Union 📰, involvement in the Sydney Lithuanian Women's Social Welfare Society board 👥, and her continuous charitable work visiting the sick ❤️.
🇱🇹 There were over 150 guests in total 🎉, and the Lithuanian table included Loretta Grybauskas (President of the Sydney Lithuanian Women's Social Welfare Society), Regina Lašaitytė (Treasurer), Judita Bučinskaitė Watson (Fundraiser), Regina Šarkienė (former Treasurer of the Society), Nijole Bucinskas, and Peter Pranauskas, who accompanied Jadvyga from the Lithuanian Village in Engadine to the NSW Parliament House 🚗.

******SORRY, FATHER'S DAY LUNCH NOW FULLY BOOKED******

The menu for Father's Day lunch on 01 September 2024.

🎉Veronika has agreed to make cepelinai for the first time, so those who order them, please be forgiving! She seems to have mastered the kugeils, so hopefully she’ll be able to do the same with the ceps!

We’re doing our best to include traditional Lithuanian dishes on the menu, despite the constraints in the kitchen. Veronika is helping to fill the gap, since Svetlana left. However, if you or anyone you know would be interested to cook for our lunches and functions, please get in touch. 🥺🙏🏽

⚠️ We have also introduced half-portions at a standardised price of $14 for all dishes on the menu e.g. 1 cepelinas / 1/2 slice kugelis / 1 balandelis / 1 fish rissole - all served with accompaniments.

🎉 What a fantastic Sunday! We celebrated our final Lunch of the winter season at the club with an unforgettable afternoon.

A huge thank you to Grazina Pranauskas for organizing a wonderful sing-along session and inviting the talented Justin P. Ankus We loved your piano performance, Justin, and hope to hear you play more often! 🎹✨

Special thanks to Veronika and Maritsa for preparing and serving such delicious food. Your hard work is truly appreciated! 🍽️❤️
