Moments after posting the Bron video , I received the link for the premier of DOBBY’s “Dirrpi Yuin Patjulinya” video ( meaning “the bird names himself” in Ngemba language of Brewarrina.)
As our family are preparing to leave the snowy minus degrees of Stockholm in less than 2 weeks, this video process has kept me connected to the land where we are returning. It’s also kept me warm .. The bird call in the song feels like a message from the land to return to New South Wales!
I’ve enjoyed generating the footage for Vyvienne Abla and Rhyan Clapham using , to tell an important story based on the atrocious treatment by the state of the Murray Darling Water Basin resulting in the death of flora, fauna and over a million fish.
The video launches in about an hour.
