Kylie Minogue has delivered a Valentines Day treat - she's teamed up with Brazilian DJ Alok to provide guest vocals on a new track - "Last Night I Dreamt I Fell In Love".

The collaboration feels like a full-circle moment for Alok after he remixed “Can’t Get You Out of My Head’” during a love set several years ago.

“The response was amazing,” Alok said in a press release. “Now, I’ve had the chance to do something truly unique alongside Kylie — a vibrant and electrifying pop [song]. In my opinion, ‘Last Night I Dreamt I Fell in Love’ captures Kylie’s signature dance vibe while also reflecting my exploration of sounds.”

Minogue said she came up with “the title and idea” for the song one morning, before completing it with Zhone, JHart, Sarah Hudson, Alok, and Avedon. “It’s amazing to be sharing my dreams with you all. I had such a fun day in the studio with my fellow writers and now Alok has worked his magic and I’m so happy to be releasing this track with him,” Minogue said. “Happy Valentine’s Day!”

Clairo took the stage at Laneway Festival in Melbourne, Australia on Feb. 14 for a set including more than a dozen songs.

As she reached the end — with a run spanning “Bags,” “Sexy to Someone,” and “Juna” — the singer-songwriter wasn’t quit ready to say goodbye.

Instead, Clairo welcomed Charli XCX to the stage for the first live performance of “Sofia” since 2022.

It’s official: The Amity Affliction will continue without Ahren Stringer in the lineup.

For the first time, the Australia post-hardcore band has issued a statement on its “completely broken down” relationship with Stringer, the talismanic bass player and vocalist who has openly battled with substance abuse and mental health issues.

“Ahren will no longer be touring or recording with The Amity Affliction,” reads the message posted to the group’s socials.

Kendrick Lamar won big at LIX, and he wins again on the Charts.

The hip-hop superstar scores a touchdown on the national albums and singles charts, following his next-level halftime spot at Super Bowl LIX, which aired to Australian audiences on Monday, February 10th.

The Los Angeles rapper’s sixth studio album "GNX" bolts 15-1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, while “Not Like Us,” his Drake diss track which he performed at American football’s showpiece event, charges 27-1 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

Earlier this month, Kendrick emerged triumphant from the Grammy Awards in his hometown, where he collected a night’s best five wins including record and song of the year for “Not Like Us”.

Meanwhile, Australian electronic music superstar Dom Dolla bags the highest debut on the ARIA Chart with “Dreamin,” featuring Daya.

A banger that Dom played on his record-setting tour of Australia in 2024, “Dreamin” drops in at #33.

Brisbane band Beddy Rays will release their second album in April and have dropped its lead single with a western-themed video clip today.

The band's new album "Do What You Wanna" will be released on April 18th and will feature the previously-released singles "Stay The Same" and "Hold On".

Today, they've dropped the album's lead single "Red Lights". “We chose this song because we feel like it sets the tone for the record,” the band said. “It’s about overcoming adversity, going through tough times but remaining positive and growing from those moments. Hoping it will resonate with those going through a tough time as it’s a reminder that things will always get better.”

DICE make their return - fittingly on Valentine’s Day - with 'Chasing Hearts'.

The WA outfit’s latest release is a high-energy nod to "festival romances, friendships, and spontaneous side quests," charging back onto the scene with rock swagger.

According to the band, “‘Chasing Hearts’ is about embracing spontaneity and pushing the limits of comfort to open yourself up to new experiences. The song takes you into a world of desire as the idea of someone changes how you may act and feel.”

It’s their first new music since 'Midnight Zoo', their ARIA-charting debut album from August 2024. Off the back of that, they hit the road for the 'Midnight Zoo World Tour', a whirlwind 24-stop lap around the globe, playing their biggest venues yet across Australia and New Zealand and selling out rooms in New York, Toronto, London, Bristol, Denver, and more cities.

To celebrate their massive trek, Rolling Stone AU/NZ got DICE to put together a photo diary of their travels - check it out here: https://au.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/dice-chasing-hearts-single-tour-diary-72075/

Underoath have revealed details for their “most ambitious” album to date.

On Friday (February 14th), the US metalcore band announced that their tenth studio album, The Place After This One, will be released on March 28th via MNRK Heavy.

In an Australian exclusive chat, vocalist Spencer Chamberlain said that the relaxed recording process allowed the band to focus on themselves and the new songs.

“It made it easier to try things that would be like ‘that’s not Underoath’ or maybe ‘that’s a little embarrassing to try’. I think all those things were possible because the band was in such a good spot when we got in the studio, which hasn’t been that way maybe ever."

Much has changed in the decade since Grace Shaw debuted her Mallrat project.

Musically, the Brisbane-born artist finds herself in a different place from where she started, a path along which she has dropped three EPs, sent hearts fluttering everywhere with 'Charlie', and now with 'Light hit my face like a straight right', a sophisticated second album. Like a straight right, she hits us with a sonic laboratory.

Canberra band Hands Like Houses are back with their most ambitious project yet – a double album with a new lead singer.

‘Atmospherics’ is released today through Civilians and is their first album with new frontman Josh Raven, and the follow up to 2018’s ‘Anon’. It has 16 tracks and is made up of 4 ‘volumes’ across the double album – Tropo(sphere), Strato(sphere), Meso(sphere) and Thermo(sphere).

“Atmospherics is an album built from many life lessons and experiences,” the band said in a statement. “The creative environments of the past had been clouded by so many obstacles but now, there’s a fresh start to start redefining what it means to be a band again. It’s a terrifying thing but beautiful nonetheless.

“It’s our largest project to date, and the start of a very exciting time for us. We are thankful for everyone following along, and all our collaborators, family and team for their support. We hope you enjoy, it’s very much just the beginning.”

9lives has just dropped his first release of the year, and while it’s not exactly a Valentine’s Day anthem, it definitely brings the heat.

The NZ producer teams up once again with frequent collaborator Odetari on the glitchy “UP FREESTYLE.”

“‘UP FREESTYLE’ feels like a combination of my world with Odetari’s,” says 9lives. “The synths and leads are huge, and I also added four-on-the-floor drums in sections which were Odetari-inspired. He did his thing and brought those fire melody lines.”

The pair have a proven track record—just look at their RIAA Gold-certified hit “I LOVE YOU HOE” (now sitting at 500M+ plays) and the Trippie Redd-assisted “MULTIMILLIONAIRE.”

“UP FREESTYLE” arrives fresh off 9lives’ run performing alongside American singer Kanii on the European leg of the ‘ ’ tour and sets the stage for a big 2025.

Casual Healing (aka Nikau Te Huki) is spreading the love this Valentine’s.

The Wellington artist’s latest release “Aroha” is a smooth, R&B-tinged ballad featuring a heartfelt verse from local rapper Kenzie From Welly.

“The song came out of a fight I had with my wahine,” Te Huki shares. “It got me thinking, why do we always take our sh*t out on the people we love the most? Time to make a change. The guitar came first, then the drums. The beat felt like early 2000’s RnB which was exactly what i needed to feel connected and pour out my hopeful heart.”

You’d be forgiven for thinking Ye’s antisemitic tirade over the weekend — in which he expressed admiration for Hi**er, literally called himself a N**i, praised Diddy, and took out a Super Bowl ad pointing to a web store selling sw****ka t-shirts — was the reason his X account was deactivated this week.

Even by the standards often too gracefully afforded to Ye, his behavior seemed so beyond the pale that someone must’ve stepped in to stop it.

Except, from the looks of it, Ye deactivated his account out of his own volition, and he’s free to reactivate again if he so chooses.

Donald Trump loves celebrity. It’s a pillar of his whole identity, ever since his days in the New York social scene. Before he ever ran for president (and even longer before Twitter became X), he would tweet relentlessly about celebrity gossip like he was running a personal tabloid.

Throughout all three of his elections, Trump has been particularly obsessed with how celebrities interact with him, often railing against those who most definitively side against him. The ones who support him are given an unprecedented level of access, influence, and VIP treatment. But the ones who remain the most elusive are the ones with an even bigger level of reach, influence, and power than him — and that includes Taylor Swift.

Australian grime rap crew OneFour are back with a new single, sampling one of reggae legend Bob Marley's greatest hits and hooking up guest vocals from a rising UK pop star.

The trio have released "Phone Call" with guest vocals from UK artist Mabel - and during the song, they fuse in parts of Bob Marley's reggae anthem "Is This Love?" The track was produced by Grammy-nominated producer 18YOMAN (Kid Cudi, Lil Nas X), Chelsea Warner, and Sykes Beats (Headie One).

Lyrically, the track has been described as "a love song born out of the streets, where balancing relationships and loyalties lie at the heart of a turbulent lifestyle."

“This one’s special to us," band member Spenny said about the track. "Bob Marley’s an artist that was loved and listened to often in our households so it’s an honour to be able to sample one of his bangers. To have Mabel feature on this track wid us & DONPROD with the music video made a lot of sense cause we really trynna take this thing international.”

Organisers of the Australian touring festival, LookOut, have issued a statement after two dates on the run were cancelled.

The festival – which features a lineup that boasts the likes of Jet, Grinspoon, The Veronicas and Spiderbait among others – had initially launched 2025 dates in Sandstone Point, Southport, Adelaide, Lake Macquarie, Wollongong, Hillarys, Torquay and Mornington starting next week.

However, punters were notified via email that the Southport and Wollongong dates would not be going ahead.

“Due to circumstances beyond our control, and in light of the extraordinary increases in infrastructure costs in some regions, we have no option other than to cancel two of the LookOut performances."

The latest batch of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame fame nominees is prodigiously loaded with Brits, from Bad Company to Billy Idol, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis and the late Joe Cocker.

The Prodigy won’t be in the class of 2025. And they want in.

Speaking ahead of the electronic punks’ latest tour of Australia, the group’s producer and spearhead Liam Howlett admitted the Rock Hall was only now coming into view.

“We always kept it real and always kept our integrity intact,” Howlett tells Rolling Stone AU/NZ. “It’s not something I’ve ever thought about, but yeah, as you spoke about it we should be up there. Make it happen!”
