This week marks the launch of Telstra’s new brand campaign ‘wherever we go’. Creating a world of epic wonder from the screens to the streets, this campaign is anchored in high reaching, high attention, premium environments that evoke amazement and wonder.
The team have done such an impressive job of painting the town orange and blue, with a multi touchpoint outdoor approach, totalling 3,000+ OOH sites! Plus, be sure to tune into both the NRL Finals and AFL Grand Final this weekend to catch the film in action, followed by broadcast, digital and cinema.
This was all made possible by the +61 team and Bear Meets Eagle On Fire, working closely together with Telstra and our media partners to bring Telstra’s new brand story to life, whilst pushing the boundaries wherever we go.
Ever wonder what Luna Park’s entry would look like without make-up? Thanks to a team of clever OMDers, our wonderful partners NIVEA and some crafty CGI work, the recognisable icon has been given a fresh face.
Highlighting the importance of cleansing and what NIVEA’s new product Micellar Water can do to nourish the skin, this fresh-face makeover isn’t just limited to Australian icons, with a custom filter running across major social platforms allowing anyone to unleash their natural glow.

Telstra's newest and most amusing friends made their debut in the latest 'Better on a Better Network' campaign, a testament to the creativity of +61!
Working with TBWA Australia and Bear Meets Eagle on Fire, the campaign highlighted Telstra's network superiority through the power of emotion-led creative and cumulative storytelling, aligning with habitual viewing. Using the State of Origin for launch, with spots throughout the broadcast, we aligned media with high-frequency moments across MasterChef, Dream Home, AFL, NRL and the News. Congratulations to the +61 team for bringing such an imaginative campaign to life!

In an exciting first, our client Estée Lauder is a proud official partner of Vivid Sydney 2024. As the ‘Nighttime Skincare Experts’, this was the perfect partnership to shine the light on skin, in a new and unexpected way.
To make this truly unmissable, OMD Create produced a super sleek 3D animated video that showcased the product range and brought the #EsteexVivid partnership to life.

May 27 to June 3 is National Reconciliation Week. This year’s theme is ‘Now More Than Ever’, a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will, and must, continue. NRW is marked by the anniversaries of the 1967 referendum on May 27th and the 1992 High Court decision of the Mabo case that over turned the myth of terra nullius on June 3rd. Reconciliation is an ongoing journey and we, together with OMG, are committed to continuing the work of many generations before us to drive meaningful change through our Reconciliation Action Plan. We honoured National Reconciliation Week at OMD with a full schedule of events throughout the week. From film screenings to basket weavings, smoking ceremonies and guided garden tours, it has been wonderful to see many OMDers participating.
For World Book Day, Brisbane OMDers hosted a Book Swap with a twist! Everyone brought in their favourite book, wrapped it in craft paper and then wrote a hint about the genre and plot for someone else to pick up and read. It was such a success that the team will continue it as a yearly tradition. Happy reading everyone!

Some partnerships just make you feel Bloody Beautiful! For this year’s World’s Greatest Shave Leukaemia Foundation turned the campaign on its head, saying goodbye to its famous upside-down chins and launching a new tagline, That’s Bloody Beautiful. Importantly, the new direction is aimed at encouraging communities to come together and support Australians living with blood cancer. OMDers zeroed in on the call-to-arms brief and in a media first, united two rival radio networks Nova Entertainment and ARN to promote the campaign together.

That's bloody beautiful! Over the past month, OMD Australia has raised over $42,000 for World's Greatest Shave, the Leukaemia Foundation's largest annual event taking a new brand direction this year with the help of OMD.
In celebration of the partnership and to support Australians living with blood cancer, all three OMD offices hosted their own World's Greatest Shave events, with 22 OMDers stepping up and cutting, colouring or shaving their hair. We managed to beat our own record of $40,000 raised last year and are so thankful for the effort all OMDers put in to achieve this! Every dollar raised will make a difference. #StongerTogether
