Day 548 of Israel's US-backed genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Day 548 and the blood-covered cowardice that is the Labor-Liberal establishment continues in its obsequious militarial, economic and rhetorical support of Israel. And this criminal support dribbles out of both corners of the Labor-Liberal mouth as they mumble their way through another poxy election without so much as uttering a single condemnation (let alone a sanction) for Israel's abhorrent crimes against Palestinians - Israel whose prime minister is a fugitive wanted for arrest by the ICC. Since Israel broke the ceasefire on 18 March 2025, the occupation has killed or injured 100 Palestinian children every day. Day 548 and so-called Australia continues to reheat the rotten leftovers of the British and American empires in their colonial microwave of moral destitution. However, history will attend liberation. Day 540 and now the blood-covered Labor-Liberal establishment has called a 'cost of living' election while continuing to underwrite (using your taxes) the cost of death in Palestine. Day 540 and the morally illiterate Labor-Liberal establishment continues their economic, militarial, political and rhetorical enrichment of Israel. 540 days of colonial atrocity in Gaza and the occupied West Bank - where illegal apartheid settlements continue to be violently expanded - is yet another chapter of annihilation in the 110 years that the West has pursued a violent project to wipe Palestine and her Indigenous peoples off the map. Never forget it started with the British Mandate, the imposition of which was at least partially maintained by the violence of the very same British military personnel who were redeployed from occupied Ireland to occupied Palestine; a decades long prelude to the Nakba of 1948. Bourgeois arts institutions and the liberal bureaucrats that run them are lining up to demonstrate their unambiguously anti-Palestine, anti-Arab, Islamophobic racism. They do this to exercise and signal obsequious support for the imperial West's colonial interests, which includes the denial of the genocide committed by Israel in Palestine and the ongoing dehumanisation and erasure of Palestinians. It is a disgrace and it is a feature of the ascendancy and normalisation of fascism sweeping the world.

Solidarity with the artists censored and the arts workers fighting back against these acts in their workplaces.

Huge show of solidarity on Gadigal Country today as part of continent-wide protests against the denial of essential healthcare for trans youth by the Queensland colony's government, which has of course not been condemned nor challenged by the federal Labor government. Meanwhile, the federal Liberal Party has expressed support for Trump's executive actions against trans people. The protest also involved a wider call to action to challenge and get ahead of the rising tide of fascism.

LAND BACK. Sovereignty never ceded. Today's rally on Gadigal Country for First Nations liberation. Organisers Justice for David Dungay Jr and called for:

• Ending Black deaths in custody and mass incarceration. First Nations people constitute 35% of the total prison population and over 50% of youth in detention. Recent government policies, such as lowering the age of criminal responsibility to 10 years old in the Northern Territory, exacerbate this crisis.

• Stopping forced child removals, which continue at rates higher than during the Stolen Generations.

• Affirming that Sovereignty was Never Ceded and advocating for Land Back Now.

• An end to Indigenous genocide and a call to build international solidarity to resist these genocides.

The government says they want to "press" for a ceasefire and yet they refuse to impose pressing sanctions, cut all ties with Israel and unambiguously confirm they will abide by the ICC warrants seeking the arrest of wanted fugitives Netanyahu and Gallant. Week 57. The week Israel annexed the north of Gaza and 'Australia' shipped coal directly from Muloobinba (Newcastle) to the state found by the ICJ to be committing apartheid against Palestinians while also presently on trial for genocide; crimes against humanity Palestinians have been broadcasting for almost a century. Despite the UN and the World Court's rulings calling on member states to fulfil their obligations under international law by ceasing to enrich and support Israel, the Labor-Liberal establishment continues to do so.

Labor enriched Israel's largest weapons company Elbit Systems via 3 contracts in 2024, including a drone tech contract that started only a month ago. Elbit drones have been used by Israel to slaughter many thousands of Palestinians and were used to kill Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom. These are bare bone facts. Whether such arrangements are related to imports, exports, repairs or upgrades is entirely irrelevant: stop using our taxes to oil the machinery of genocide in occupied Palestine. Sanction Israel and cut all ties.
