Pretty much every week one of the large AI companies is launching a new or updated version of its AI tools…the AI world is just moving that fast. It’s easy to get hooked up on this and to play with the new tools, but this isn’t the most effective way to use AI for writing, especially for business books. Many business books try to cover too much and it’s a natural instinct. You’ve built years of experience, and you want to share everything you know. But when a book tries to speak to everyone, it often ends up feeling generic and hard to connect with.

The more specific you are about who you’re writing for, the easier it becomes to decide what to include—and just as importantly, what to leave out.

A strong business book isn’t broad.
It’s deliberate, structured, and written with a clear reader in mind—someone who sees themselves in your words and feels like the book was written for them.
