The fifth track on my “Mixed Business” EP is “Strikes & Gutters”, which I wrote as a tribute to a dearly departed friend. The lyrics are based on the last message he sent me, in which he quoted “The Big Lebowski”. I think he’d like it 😊🎳

Not everyone knows this, but I used to be a pilot! I got my licence flying Cessnas and then completed an aerobatics endorsement in a Robin 2160 at in Sydney. Sadly, it just got too expensive, but I hope to get back up there someday! My love of aviation partly inspired my song “Fly Myself To You”, which is streaming everywhere now! 😁✈️🎶

Earlier this year, I lost a friend. This is my tribute to him and anyone else out there who’s struggling. I hadn’t finished writing “Strikes & Gutters” when I went into the studio to record “Mixed Business”, but the producer helped me and we ended up recording it on the final day with some lovely guitar backing.
