Stories From The Grady Life - The Kulakowsky Family

3 generations of special family memories, life lessons, and great times on their 3 Grady-White Boats. It was a privilege to tell Ken and Judy’s story over 3 fun days in June at their home in Delaware, and making a few new memories in the process.

Time spent on the water = time well spent.

Merry Christmas! Here’s to making it through another challenging year and celebrating the good that’s come out of it.

A few of our highlights...
We welcomed Hank the French Bulldog into our family.
Layla has persevered through another Covid school year, and was presented with a ‘Curly Silver’ for being helpful, hardworking and enthusiastic.
Coda is still our smiley little Buddah, and is continuing to develop a wonderful sense of self. She loves singing, jumping, climbing and learning her numbers. Coda is becoming very talkative.
The girls are becoming best friends, which is the sweetest thing.
Maddie has been promoted at work (NFSA) and is enjoying her yoga practice and walks with her best pal Hank.
Steve has had a great year in business and is heading back to see family in NJ finally!

We’re looking forward to 2022 with Australia’s borders finally open, giving us the opportunity to see our NJ family and start travelling again!

Hyecorp Property Group is one of Sydney’s leading property groups, and their latest project was a revamp of their own brand. Over a 5 day shoot we photographed a variety of scenes to use in their new website.

Fun fact - on the construction shoot day I got a bit too close to the concrete mixer and had wet concrete splash into the buttons on my cameras and lenses in the first 10 minutes of the shoot! The sound drying concrete makes behind camera buttons and wheels will forever haunt me. 😅

Layla wanted to make something special for Maddie a few months ago, so we sat down and created this before school drop off one day! She’s just the sweetest. ❤️

I love that we’ll have short, sweet, funny videos like this to look back on when she’s older, and remind us (and her) of what she was like at this age. Instead of having to sift through unused video clips and camera videos from 6 iPhones ago that never see the light of day.

One of the most exciting things to come out of the last year for me has been my Big Questions Small People videos for families. It's so much fun making these and being able to give something unique and precious to families. The feedback has been just amazing!

So to answer some of the most common questions about the Big Questions Small People videos, I asked (begged / bribed) for the help of Layla and Coda.

There's something about these videos that I just can't get enough of. Granted they're my kids and I would love anything with them in it...

Maddie and I play this game with Coda - she’ll hide behind our back and then we say ‘Where’s Coda?’ a few times before we let out an excited yell, wrap her up and give her a big hug and kiss. She LOVES it, and recently Layla’s taken our place and plays it with her. 🥰 Coda’s excitement levels are next level when she gets Layla’s love and attention. These two sisters are going to have a pretty special bond.
