ATEN is a collaborative project spearheaded by Sydney, Australia musician Brad Hayne (Cell Temple, Lint Music.)
The self titled album presents a broad spectrum of heavy and experimental music that aims to break the standard interpretations of how songs should be structured, begin, build, and end.
Inspired by left-field sub-genres such as New Orleans-style Sludge, Grindcore and Post Metal, Aten was pieced together using contributions from a wide variety of musicians; with the end result being a distorted, frequency soaked, chisel-carved stone tablet documenting the artist's influences at the time of making it.

Nath plays in Deadpartydead and also covers songs that are way too difficult for the rest of us to do. He played drums on most of the tracks

ATEN - S/T album. Mixing on the "primary" tracks is complete thanks to Ben just a few tweaks to what I call the "noise filler" tracks and we're ready to master and release via Bandcamp. It'll all make sense (or maybe won't!) when heard in full 🌞

Jeez where do I even begin? A little while after Lint (the band) finished, I needed a place to start putting out my random experimental drone/ambient/noise music. So I originally turned the name into a label as a reason to start uploading these EPs (as well as doing limited physical special products for other people)
So in a way, Cell Temple and Lint Music are responsible for each other.
There are currently NINE FREE EPs worth of music to listen to (some barely qualify as music/worth listening to tbh)
This, number FIVE, is tied with THREE are my favourite.

Next lookback: Night Goat vinyl. These long sold out records were cut in limited numbers by and designed + screen printed by the band (which I was a part of). They featured the first two EPs and came with CDs, art prints and a variety of colours.
