Kmart is celebrating the 37th annual Wishing Tree Appeal this year. A survey from The Salvation Army found that of those financially struggling, Aussies were left with only $8 per week to save or spend on non-essentials Head to the Wishing Tree in any Kmart store and place a Wishing Tree sticker on a wrapped gift you'd like to donate. A Salvation Army representative will then collect the gifts from Kmart stores and oversee their distribution to those in need. Gifts do not need to be purchased at Kmart but they do need to be unwrapped. The Appeal is unable to accept used or second-hand gifts.
