Tonight I was invited by an old work colleague to marry him in a legals only ceremony at home. What I didn't expect was such an amazing 3 hours learning about Nepalese culture, as well as eating Nepalese foods & drinking tea & wine! Did you know that their weddings can last from a few days to a few weeks?! 😲 I think it's safe to say that our Australian weddings need to step up their game! 😂

This morning I met up with Samantha and Jack to start discussing Jack’s Baby Naming Ceremony. It will be my first baby naming ceremony and I’m so excited about it. I’ve been lucky enough to have known this little man right from the beginning, and can’t wait to celebrate his name along with his 1st birthday in December!

Hi everyone, and thank you for liking my page! Now that I have a small following I thought it would be a great time to introduce myself!

My name is Kylie, and as of the 14th of October I became an authorised marriage celebrant in Australia.

Some fun facts about myself:
I am in my late 20s, and have grown up in Penrith, in Sydney’s western suburbs my whole life. I have a bachelor’s degree in Communications, where I majored in Media Production. I have worked in TV, customer service, and now currently working in the government justice sector alongside my celebrant business. I have a passion for travel, and have travelled to over 30 countries so far. I have lived for short periods of time in both the USA and Northern Ireland. If I’m not working I’m spending time exercising, reading, watching TV, or spending time with my family, friends or my partner.

But what made me want to become a marriage celebrant?
I had know for a while that 'one day' I would like to study to become a marriage celebrant, and start my own little business. I am a ‘lover of love’, a creative individual, get a thrill out of public speaking (weirdo I know), and most of all, I love weddings! Well, that one day came in February this year when I signed myself up to complete a Certificate IV in Celebrancy. A hard few months of study, an approved application with the government, and now here we are, 9 months down the track ready for this new adventure!

Keep your eyes on this space for the adventure to come. I have a few client appointments in the coming weeks and I can’t wait to share it all with you!
