This morning on the way to buy breakfast, I came across a lotto street vendor. I asked her where all her children were. She replied that she had only one child and her son passed before COVID 19 one year. I asked about her husband who also passed at the age of 50 and then I asked about her siblings. She had one brother who relied on his wife to survive. I tried to control my tears. I then I bought all of her tickets. I asked her where she lived and she took me to her lodging where she rented with two mil D**g per month which similar to 100 US dollars. She also has someone to come to sleep at night. Another lady who is also elderly, who got to take care of her grandchildren but the son or the daughter which I didn’t ask for much detail doesn’t allow to stay with them but giving the Nana some money to sleep somewhere. This lady wants to get into Aged Care Centre but she doesn’t know how . I admire her courage .She seems content with what she has. You need to pay to get to Aged care even from the Government. She got everything from the people she knew, from the street coffee shop to the motorbike taxi driver. The love from the strangers not from
Her siblings keeps her surviving
