Salāmun ‘Alaykum

The scholars have explained that one of the best ways to teach children about Allāh (swt) and the concept of Tawhīd is through nature. This can be done by showing them the different aspects of Allāh’s creation found in nature such as the trees, the animals and the grass. In this way, parents can introduce the different characteristics of Allāh, including the fact that He is the creator of all things.

He has power over all things in existence. Children are such that they need to see things in order to connect to something. By using the beautiful nature around us, they can feel awe the of the great creation of Allāh (swt)

Salāmun ‘Alaykum dear readers,

Children can be fussy eaters for many reasons and do not realise or acknowledge the needs of their bodies. Parents have to be creative to distract them enough with kindness and generosity to meet their needs. Distracting a child during mealtimes will not always work with every child but sometimes playing a game or having a tiny toy present may help a child get used to eating and mealtimes!

رسولُ اللهِ‏ِ (صَلَّيَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ) أحَبُّ عِبادِ اللّه‏ِ إلى اللّه‏ِ أنْفَعُهُم لِعبادِهِ، وأقْوَمُهُم بحقِّهِ، الّذينَ يُحَبَّبُ إلَيهِمُ المَعروفُ وفِعالُهُ .
The Prophet (saww) said, ‘The most beloved of Allah’s servants to Him are those that are the most useful to His servants, and the most persistent of them in establishing His right, those who endear virtue and its practices.’ [Tuḥaf al-’Uqūl, No. 49]
