When life unexpectedly challenges you, you learn a lot about people in your life. It’s like an uncomfortable cleanse. You get to see who can handle the darkness, and who is fleeing it in themselves.

One thing you can be sure of: If they can’t own their shadow, they won’t show up for anyone else’s. We live in a distraction addicted culture, often delaying our intimacy with the shadow until the last possible moment. Privilege begets privilege, until there is nothing real left. Find comfort in those who can handle your challenges, disregard the rest.

Compassion is the bridge that heals souls. Not feigned compassion. The real kind. The inconvenient kind. Compassion of the heart.

Happy New Year Community.

We hope 2025 delivers all you are hoping for.

We will be back in the clinic as of 6th January, in a new office in Norwest.

Our new address is Suite 201, 10 Century Circuit, Norwest. (Norwest Central Buildings.)

A friendly reminder heading into the next few weeks where interactions with others can feel strained, tense, or weird.

Please remember to offer family and friends grace at this time. We all have full plates which means sometimes we don't have the mental bandwidth/capacity to deal with extras, such as texts, emails or even calls.

It's an unpopular sentiment, as historically Christmas is meant to be about joy and togetherness, but time and time again I see and hear that this is not the case for everyone.

December in particular may be very hard as the many months before come to settle.

What a great time to be mindful of all.

As the algorithm continues to evolve, many of our posts are not shown with engagement being exceptionally low. The lowest in over 10 years of being on social.

Heading into a new week and understanding this more and more as time progresses.

I've had a few connections/relationships (still do in fact) that don't feel peaceful or safe.

I try to minimise contact with those that threaten my wellbeing, mental health or state of equilibrium these days.
